Umm yeah I couldn't type my reaction in here. I had one of those filthy &*&$#@@!*# things run across my foot the other day. I just about put a whole in the wall beating it with my boot. I couldn't handle one in my ear let alone two.

sounds like an episode of x files.

That really freaks me out. How do you sleep nights after knowing that two spiders made a home in your ear while you were out :o

that's what I'm thinking. It's probably a good thing it was a young kid, an adult would probably become an insomniac.

I thought when you didn't wash out your ears, POTATOES grew in them not spiders!! :D

How and when did these spiders take up residence in this kid's ears?? Double yuck!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

This story gives me the creeps!

As a kid roaming and playing in the woods, I always feared this with ticks!

that was my question, and I think it strange the article doesn't address it at all.

Yick. Reminds me of that scene in Star Trek II. I bet his mom (or dad) did a thorough house cleaning afterwards...

Hmmm.

Two spiders - one dead and one alive.

I believe an even worse trauma has been averted in this case.

Knowing what I know about arachnids and their habits, I think the pair were a male and female. Male impregnated the female. Female killed the male to provide nourishment for her gestating brood.

This kid could have had thousands of tiny spiders pouring from his ear, perhaps while he sat at his desk at school, thus providing his classmates with a nightmarish memory and likely ending up with the worst case of ARACHNIPHOBIA in the history of psychiatry.
