The logo is the dumbest thing aout the Sens: that's more or less a centurion, not a senator!

Ha ha, that's true. I guess the Ottawa Centurions doesn't quite have that ring to it. Then again, if you could have the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.... I don't know if it is a good thing they droppped the "Mighty" since I don't know too many ducks that put fear into people. Except for Duck Dodgers.

I'd like to see the Sabres win. During the six years I was coaching
college hockey in the Albany area I had the Sabres on my cable
network. I enjoyed the passionate announcers and became a fan
of the team even though my loyalty is still with the Bruins. The
Sabres have some great team speed and 4 lines of talent. The
Ottawa series should be some great hockey....especially since their
is no love lost between both teams.

I am also an "original six" fan so I wouldn't mind seeing Detroit win
again.
What school did you coach at? I went to RPI from 87-91 (and saw Joe Juneau play, which was awesome). That was where I learned to play hockey; Houston Field House, Frear Park; ah, the memories..
I coached at Union(along with UNH, Bowdoin and others). Was best
friends with the late RPI coach Bill Cahill....a great guy who is missed
by many. I know HFH and Frear Park well.

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't recognize his name. I'm glad RPI was able achieve his goal of a DI womens hockey program.

Yeah, wow, I never thought Buffalo would be down 3-0. I may have to rethink my predictions...

Wow. Things change quickly! Buffalo is done.

Ottawa will come out on fire in game 4.

What would be a BIG blow to hockey - an all west coast finals. Talk about SNOOZER. Games starting at 9 pm, going past midnight if there's OT.

We'll see how the Wings do in Game 3. They can get sloppy on west coast road trips.

PLEASE no Ducks vs. Sharks Cup final!

I can guarantee you that this year, there will not be a Stanley Cup final between the San Jose Sharks and the Anahiem Ducks. I'd even put money, and lots of it, on that.

I can guarantee you there probably won't ever be a Stanley Cup final between the San Jose Sharks and the Anahiem Ducks. Unless realignment happens.

And yes, it looks like Buffalo is warming up their golf clubs. [smilie=pimp.gif]

What was I thinking.

I know there will never be a Ducks v Sharks final, especially since thw Wings are plagued with a West coast road trip when these screw ball teams make the play offs.

Wings/Sens or Ducks/Sens.

Detroit/Ottawa seems like it would be more interesting. Go Wings!

I should have put a few :D :D :D after my sentences. I figured it was a slip of the keyboard.

A friend of mine from Calgary doesn't want Anaheim to win because he just couldn't stand seeing "Ducks" imprinted on the Stanley Cup.

Can the Wings bounce back? Can Anaheim keep the momentum? Can Buffalo continue their comeback? Will Ottawa close out the Sabres?

All this answered for you on Sat, May 19th @ 2PM EST and Sunday, May 20th @ 3PM EST! 8)

Just have to ask ... who?

Good idea, but we've been doing that in Calgary for a few years now. Rather see the Ducks than the Wings, but when all is said and done ...

GO SENATORS!!

A guy name Mike who plays hockey and lives down in Maryland. I can PM you more info if you think you know him.

Congrats to all the Senators fans! Your team did you proud. What an exciting game and a great win. Good luck in the finals.

Ottawa is a happy place! One of the biggest fans is my daughter who's teaching in Korea and missing the excitement back home. She listens on internet radio or watches delayed games at a Canadian Pub there.... and calls home at the end of every game to discuss it all with her Dad.

She won a package of Sens seats for next season! (Luckily, she'll by home by then)

2 good friends of mine played for the Sens in the 90's so I'm a huge Sens fan. I have a bunch of Sens stuff they gave me and I also have a Dany Heatley autographed stick above my bar from when he played here at the University of Wisconsin. It's really odd to actually get to watch them on TV here in the States - the only way I was able to before was with the Center Ice package.

GO SENS GO!!

It's not ringing any bells, so thanks anyways. But you just never know.

THAT is cool. I can only hope my daughter grows up to be that much of a hockey fan. If she continues to hang out with her brothers, odds are good. :D
