Instead of legendary investor Warren Buffett, singer Jimmy Buffett, above, opened Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholder meeting in Omaha on Saturday. The Associated Press reports the chief "parrothead" joked that as Warren's distant cousin, he was taking over for the 76-year- old billionaire chairman and chief executive. "Since blood is thicker than water, I'm your new chairman," the singer said. Then Jimmy Buffett sang a version of his hit song "Margaritaville" that had been rewritten to honor Berkshire Hathaway and its companies.

From a shareholder in the crowd:

Only it is Jimmy Buffett, the singer, who now appears on stage with a guitar, a pair of bifocals on the end of his nose and some prompt cards on the floor at his feet, and he is attempting to play “Wasting Away in Berkshire-Hathawayville” with lyrics like “Some people say that Charlie Munger’s to blame…”

(I say “attempting” because he can't read his own lyrics and has to start over at one point.)

LOL...Poor Jimmy is getting old...
