Movies

Post by Oz_79 »

I thought it would be cool to hear if anybody else watches movies that puts them in that paradise mood?

The few that I can think of right off hand are, (in no particular order) Summer Rental, Captain Ron, and Hoot. I really like the song JB sings in Summer Rental and John Candy is a comedic genius. Captian Ron is great because it makes you want to buy a boat, and although Hoot isn't a good movie, it has some of the best scenery shots I have seen of Florida.

So do others have movies that put them in that beach, paradise, or Buffett mood? If so post them because as a movie fanatic I would love to check them out!!!

Thanks...

Pirates of the Caribbean.

We always take it to the Caribbean with us and watch it in the evenings.
(And if we're not there, we're wishing we were!)
Great escapism (and scenery)

Besides...we, too are always wondering....

There's a movie made in the 70's from a Hemmingway novel about the Florida Keys.... he's divorced...takes his three boys fishing..... I'm stuck, but it has great outdoors footage too.

Islands in the Stream - great book. Not so great on screen.

I always have to watch Flipper. Those scenes of the beach shack just take me away to the keys. It's my most watched movie.
