And my mother was part of all of the colussion - she still knew it was 7:30 and time for all good girls and boys to go to bed, even after I'd turned off the TV so she couldn't hear Claude Kirschner and Clowny say so!
I was on Romper Room...for 2 weeks...only it was Miss Nancy...
"Romper Bomper Stomper Boo......."
And I was a good "Do Bee",
except when I got yelled at for talking..
My dad still has the tapes of it.....Once in a while he puts the projector and screen up and we watch those old things....It's kind of fun, watching all those old home movies...

Gee, imagine that!!!???

um.....yeah.
That happened a lot when I was a kid....
now no one can yell at me for talking...

Actually I still get yelled at during our monthly sales meetings

I remember one for Winky Dink - You'd draw on it to help him out of a jam. Like if he needed to get across a river, you'd draw a bridge on it.

Speaking of Walter Cronkite - we were, at some point, weren't we?

- I saw a great show on PBS last night, hosted by Cronkite. It was "City at War: London Calling".
"This program vividly depicts London under assault from Germany during World War II, following legendary American newsman Walter Cronkite back to London, where as a United Press correspondent, he filed newspaper stories on the Blitz, D-Day and more. Drawing on Cronkite's emotional personal memories, riveting archival footage and recordings of radio broadcasts by Edward R. Murrow and the speeches of Winston Churchill, the film conveys the impact of American journalists in London during the war. Through their frontline reporting, Cronkite, Murrow and others conveyed the urgency of Germany's threat; by influencing American public opinion about the war, they helped change the course of history."
