Jerry Jeff Walker on Time After Island Time

Post by Bwana Paul »

Time After Island Time proudly presents JERRY JEFF WALKER: Gypsy Songman part 1 of 2. Produced by Paul Leslie and Jeff Pike.

It was a great honor to interview Mr. Jerry Jeff Walker, a songwriting and performing legend. We discussed his early roots as a folk artist, who he modeled himself after, the time he spends in Belize, his favorite songwriters and the evils of t-shirt shops. Jerry Jeff Walker gives an interesting and at times very witty and funny interview. Recorded down in Key West, Florida (Jerry Jeff Walker was the man who brought Jimmy Buffett to Key West). The man who wrote so many classic songs (including Mr. Bojangles), and has been covered by Harry Belafonte, Harry Nillson, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sammy Davis Jr. and too many to list here... He is an inspiration to musicians young and old ranging from folk, country, rock, Americana and tropical.
