Star Wars for me too.
Do people actually wait a long time in line any more for one specific movie today? By that I mean, do you actually go to the theater and wait in line only to have to buy tickets for a show that is going on in say 2 hours or more. With all the theaters with multiple screens and lots of places with multiple ticket windows it could be hard to figure out if you are waiting for the same movie everyone else is. You cal also buy your tickets in advance on line as well today. With them showing big releases every half hour you probably would not have to wait long. When Star Wars was out my local theater only had 2 screens. By the time it closed at that location they were up to 4. They moved up the street and now have at least 10 screens. I think for Star Wars we ended up in line for about on hour and getting tickets for a show happening 2 hours later. We ended up walked back to my cousins to wait. I do remember the excitement building up as we got closer to getting the tickets.

The first movie I remember waiting in line for was Jurassic Park. We had two (single screen) movie theaters in town, they would have ONE showing a night, sometimes had a matinee on Saturdays... Didn't have to wait in line to see most stuff, except for maybe behind two or three people while they bought tickets.
Jurassic Park was the first movie they had a second showing of, at like 10:30 or something, I went and saw it at 8, then turned around and got in line again to see the 10:30.

No way I was going to see Grease. I couldn't STAND John Travolta.
Like him now, but he was such a jerk when he started out.
I've still never seen Grease all the way through. Saw most of Saturday Night Fever in bits and pieces.
