Whoa,
Seaplanes, Buffett stuff, and dentistry love/hate on the same page?
I was going to try to wean myself off this BN addiction now that
we are in a Summer weather pattern here.
Guess not :pirate: :pirate: :pirate: :pirate: :pirate: :pirate: :pirate:

I got home from the office after 7:30 pm, ready to leave the world of the day job, catch up with the wife and kids, and eventualy retire to my happy place of BN.
Oh well.

I just went to the dentist today, for the regular 6 month thing, believe it or not.

Overall I'd say it's not a totally unpleasant experience, but it does feel good when I walk out of there!

The only thing I despise is when they put the film for x-rays way back in my mouth and tell me to bite hard. Makes me gag!

Today I made so many gagging sounds that they told me if I keep that up, I'll first scare away all the little kids, and then the rest will come running down the hall, asking... what the hell are you doing to guy in there??
Hey Snake, we need more wine!

Four out of five dentists surveyed hate going to the dentist.

I went once as a kid and once as an adult about 5 years ago for a cleaning.
Seems to me that the more you go, the more problems you have.
My grill is on point....for now anyways.

Yeah dude, you right! Ignore your teeth, and they'll just go away!

But wait- just think about how cool that synthetic grill will look!
Stainless Steel, Titanium, Nickel-Chromium, CARBON FIBRE!!!!
You'll be da man!

:) Luckily not for me. :)

I am 47 - have a total of 5 fillings. I go every 6 months. :D
Grew up with floridated water in Romeoville, IL.
Never had braces.
Had all 4 wisdom teeth out at once (unexpected) about 20 years ago.
Last filling I had was about 15 years ago.
LOVE my dentist and his staff. They are gentle but do a great job. I've recommended them to more than 20 people ( many of which are petrified to see a dentist), and they send me thank you cards, gift certificates, and everyone that has seen him just LOVE him. :D

Do I love to go? Nah. No more than I like going to any medical appt. that's needed. But he and his staff are the most amazing people. :D

Alan? If you have a way of searching? His name is R. Kent Sellers. :D

I don't hate them on a professional basis...just that one that set me on a hate path when I was only 8....and it set the phobia for the rest of my years.

ick.

Had that done back when I was 18 or 19. That surgery made me a believer in the power of drugs. :D One was impacted, I had pieces of tooth flying out of my mouth, and I couldn't have cared less. They finally got it out, I mumbled something about doing the other 3. They told me they were all finished. :o

Me too...at age 24.

100 mg demerol & oral surgeons are our friend....or that's the way I remember it anyway...

funny ending...

My Oral Surgeon ended up being the governor of South Carolina after that.....

Think I voted for him , like, 1,077, 224 times???

one day I guess I'll need my wisdom teeth removed.
I imagine that will not be fun.
They used to bite the inside of my mouth every now and then but it's been a really long time since that's happened.
