It's called the Orgasmatron. It was approved with the ADA seal late last year. Most patients claim that they felt nothing (with respect to oral pain),
but had a truly enjoyable experience.
So far, it has only been approved for use in conjunction with Nitrous Oxide, but rumor is that by the fourth quarter of '07 use with ethyl alcohol is expected to be authorized.
You got to try it! I brought one home to test out before using it on patients, and it REALLY WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be the option that your dentist is scared of you ... that is the situation for me

He says he gets stressed if he comes in and sees my name on the list for the day 8)

My highlight of the day-looking at the list!
The mood for the day is instantly created.
I'll be there in an hour.
Wish me luck!

I worked for a pediatric dentist for a while - which was fun except for the amount of "cookie tossing" the kids would do when nervous. However, the biggest problem was with the parents. We had charts that said "Mother PITA" on them, those moms were mostly told to wait in the waiting room, they actually made the kids MORE nervous if they were allowed to sit next to the chair.
