WDWGDAS

Post by barefootin' »

Amen to leaving out WDWGDAS! We took our kids (5 and 9) to their first show this year, and we have always censored that song from what they can listen to. They know it as "The Bad Song" and remind us (if we're not paying close attention) to turn it off when they hear the first few notes.

During the concert, we were prepared to run them into the bathroom where hopefully the song would be muffled, but we were pleasantly surprised that it never got played!!! Thanks Jimmy!!

And, if you do happen to read this, how 'bout a NC show this year?

Jimmy,
Don't listen to the prunella prudes here. Keep doing WDWGDAS. It's a cultural classic....

True Buffett fans    say...
dump the SYKBH songs and have a "Wheel of Fortune"-style song selection process
right ONSTAGE and conducted by the re-instated Coral Reefer Dancers
to guarantee an almost random setlist every show!! :P :D :D :D :pirate: :wench:

p.s. I saw Elvis Costello do this 15 years ago at his shows , and it was a HUGE hit!! :P

What is up with the "prunella prudes" remark? No need for name-calling here! I just prefer not to "educate" my children too early about certain things, and love being able to share Jimmy's huge repertoire of music with them. He has so much more to offer !!!!

Get rid of Breathe In, Breathe Out? It's so new. I love that song. I agree with replacing some of the old staples though with a variety of old tunes, like Capt and the Kid, Twelve Volt Man, This Hotel Room, Knees of my Heart, When the Coast is Clear, etc.

But even with the Big 8 in the line up, I'll still go and I'll still have a blast.

How can he get rid of a song he's never done in concert? [smilie=huh-ani.gif]

I dont know but the second or third post wanted that out. Thats my theme song these days!

JB could probably sing the Big 8 3 times each show and I would still get drunked up and go and sing along (not that I want this!!!!).

In a few years, we might be all crying in our beers that he ISNT touring anymore, so I'll take what he gives. It's important that he has fun up there too or else he wouldnt be doing it anymore.

Cant wait til Indy in July!!!!

I don't suppose if he skipped the big 8 for an entire tour season, less of the non-fans would come helping make tickets more available?

If you meant this post:
irishcajunphan wrote:Jimmy and the Coral Reefers, we know you check these boards. PLEASE keep WDWGDAS out of the set list!!!! [smilie=battingeyes.gif]
Also, please add BIBOMO! [smilie=battingeyes.gif]
I believe it was a request to add BIBOMO to the set list, not the "please exclude" list.

Definitely meant for BIBOMO to be added to the setlist. It would be a great closer or second set starter.

So I guess you don't let them listen to My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink and I Don't Love Jesus or PTYDFYOGH or Livingston Staurday Night or Grape Fruit, Juicy Fruit or Pencil Thin Mustache or...I could keep going.
