Re: Hawaii??????
I've had my ear to the coconuts and not a peep out here on the island. I'm going to hit Duke's on Tuesday for some drinks so I'll talk to the bartenders and see if there's any news.SoFarButYetSoNear wrote:Can I PLEASE get a date so I can lock in my travel arrangements. One of my waitresses works part time at Duke's, too. She has been given my cell phone with very clear instructions to call me at any hour, any day, if JB walks in for a drink. My moped can get there in 12 minutes.SoFarButYetSoNear wrote:Cowboy:
I wish I was going to Dukes on Tuesday.....I guess I will just have to wait until I am there for the show. Thanks for monitoring the Hawaiian Coconut Telegraph and let us know if you here anything.

I am so jealous. I couldn't even fly there in 12 hours.cowboyjunkie wrote:One of my waitresses works part time at Duke's, too. Unless they stop serving Captain Morgan, I'll happily report back to Duke's to check on things every week or so (it is expensive).

BEING SELFISH POST ALERT!!!
I do hope that it is late November (after Thanksgiving) to early December.
Ok ok, I'm being selfish here. That's when I will be in Hawaii.

If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Sounds like someone I should be frinds with!Wino you know wrote:My best friend is a Honolulu cop, and he's at Duke's twice a week and checks the venue almost every other day. So far he's heard nothing.
He knows to call me as soon as he does.
Explored town a bit yesterday and found an awesome kava bar within walking distance of Waikiki Shell. They're kava smoothies are a trip. Literally. It wouldmake a good final pit stop before the show.

I've got a Magnum-fan connection on Oahu with his ear to the ground. He's heard nothing yet but the same rumors we have.Wino you know wrote:My best friend is a Honolulu cop, and he's at Duke's twice a week and checks the venue almost every other day. So far he's heard nothing.

My guess is 10/30. I'm just wondering if He will be able to pull off Diamond Head Crater. I would love to hear him sing Volcano from the inside of a Volcano. Think he would like it too.
The last two years we have gone the Vegas show on our way back from Hawaii, would love to plan a show in Vegas and Hawaii.

Just a guess, but the last few years he has done the California shows in between the two Vegas Dates, so throwing Hawaii in the middle of that does not make much sense to me. Plus this way he does the last show of the year in Hawaii and then the South Pacific Vacation starts. Again, just a guess.geekiegecko wrote:Why do you think 10/30? I'll be going to the first weekend in Vegas, so having the weekend of the 30th off call would be very possible. But in the past hasn't JB done Irvine and San Diego the weekends following Vegas?
But I do like the idea of the Crater as a venue!

Yeah that makes sense, so 10/30 is possible, but moving the show to Hawaii is a major hassle according to the show people over here. But I'll take him whenever. Can always be sick or take a mental health day.bbqmonster wrote:Just a guess, but the last few years he has done the California shows in between the two Vegas Dates, so throwing Hawaii in the middle of that does not make much sense to me.
