What to do in Morgantown WVA?

Post by CrznDnUS1 »

The family will be traveling to Morgantown this weekend for orentation on Monday. I was wondering what there is to do around there from some locals or folks who have lived there for a while. School will be out so I am not expecting too much to be going on. Hiking or outdoor activities would work if anyone knows of anything local which is either free of inexpesive.

Bike Ride

Post by JohnsonA »

They've got nice bike trails there as part of the rails to trails system. I imagine you could rent a bike if you don't take one with you.

There's also some good hiking trails at Cooper's Rock. Its about 10 miles East of town on I68.

You might want to touch base with our user Mellijellibean; I believe she's from (or went to school) there.

Hey now Tri you only live 1 hour from the moonshine capital of the world. Keep the moonshine in Virginia not West Virginia :)
