Post by Capt.Flock »

Where are some places in different states around Ohio that are fun for vacationing with keets
Just a few things to keep in mind
1. One child will be on crutches
2. Would like to be able to get there in one days traveling time
3. Two girls ages 12,13
4. Flying is an option

So please help a parrothead out with some ideas

What about Kennywood? (it's in West Miflin, PA, just outside of Pittsburgh) Where in Ohio are you?

Toronto. Definitely Toronto. Downtown Bay Store is cool, and you can take the kids on subway rides

Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Dollywood is getting bigger and better, it's in Pigeon Forge. Lots of stuff for kids. And a Krispy Kreme too, for gosh sakes !
Or just come stay at my house, I have a pool and a dog and a cat. What more entertainment could you need ?

Niagara falls, Toronto, are great sugegstions. Look at London, Ontario: Storybook gardens is great for kids, quite accessible too, I think. Also a great Children's Muesum there.
Ottawa, where I live, is a bit father, but we have tons of museums, fireworks, etc.

ah...well, still the Pigeon Forge area is good, and if you get a cabin close to the National park like we did last year, there's BEARS all over. We had bears each day just roaming around our yard. Kinda scary. Maybe not so good...better stay in pigon Forge.
How about Louisville...the Speed Museum is great.
