Preach on . . . Preach on . . . I've got a sick methodical routine to check these things. In a day I check MGM, Margaritaville, the Las Vegas Parrothead club site, Ticketmaster, and Buffetnews hanging on and waiting.FINSUPinIdaho wrote:Waiting for frigging West coast dates...
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

Hallalujah! Does Jimmy not know that I have a wretched and lonely single life and the only thing that keeps me going is a Jimmy Buffett concert?

Ahhh, yes...a Parrothead's life for me!!!FINSUPinIdaho wrote:Waiting for frigging West coast dates...
The hard part, though, is always waiting for the damn dates.
It's like we forget we go thru this same drill EVERY year.
We have to remember....They WILL come- not as many-but they will come...
Breathe in, breathe out, (shot of Don Julio) & move on.

There's wind in our hair
And there's water in our shoes
It's been a lovely cruise.

I guess whats getting to me is how the announcements keep getting later and later. It used to be April, on sale in May, then May on sale in June. etc etc.
There was a time in my life when it didnt matter, he could have announced the morning of the show and I would be there but life has a way of getting in the way of that kind of spontenaiety

Its only June-- you still have AT LEAST 4 months before any shows most likely. Think of it this way--- extra time to save up so you can actually afford to buy tickets, and not have to take another loan out on your house

Houston, Atlanta and Dallas are in the northeast????Triathlete-Parakeet2 wrote:I'm with ya. I've been doing my daily checking routine waiting for Charlotte. Lets face it.... if its not in the NE then Jimmy doesn't care. Thats the sad reality of it.
I wonder if Larry will join this discussion and continue chastising me!!

Honestly? You have no idea - nor do any of us - know what Jimmy cares about or not. Is FL or GA or Paris in the NE?? No.Triathlete-Parakeet2 wrote:I'm with ya. completely agree Penny, though before someone else mentions it, Aspen is in Colorado but is totally different.SMLCHNG wrote:And Colorado.mydogbuffett wrote:And Oklahoma.![]()
Denver is a summer show, with everybody, that's what many people go for. The concert kind of puts a great end to a day of fun. a day to see people you don't always see. I've got Denver-tailgate phriends that I don't even know thier names until the parking lot opens, but I see them over and over.
thanks Jimmy for Aspen, but a Denver show, sometime between April and September would be really nice!!!!!

HAHA. I always love to say ridiculous things on here to see how people react to them. Obviously i know that GA and Fla are not in the northeast. And I DEFINATELY know that Texas isnt!!SMLCHNG wrote:Honestly? You have no idea - nor do any of us - know what Jimmy cares about or not. Is FL or GA or Paris in the NE?? On our way up to Idaho tomorrow... and he must know those places are up there, due to he has family in Montana, ja? Maybe it is a lack of local population or venues? Or not enough venues to cluster a group of concerts, which is what he does?
Heard that North Dakota was losing population so fast that it may go below what it was when it became a state and have to be just part of Dakota, as South Dakota's got the mountains and the people.

as far as the northwest goes-good luck. i havnt seen one annual venue out here that he plays. its brutal. if vegas is indeed on the list im going down from missoula. thanks to my location ove only seen one show
i hate to bring it up again but people on the east cant complain when the closest he plays is two states away....i guess thats the price for living away from the hustle and bustle...
If I had it all to do over again, I'd just get myself drunk and I'd jump right back in...
