Margaritaville Grand Cayman
On my trek to get to all the Margaritaville's on earth we are embarking on a Carnival Cruise on June 18th that stops at both Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Hopefully get to knock uot 2 Margs in one trip. Anyone know how far it is from The Carnival Cruise dock to Marg Grand Cayman? How about Cozumel?
So far I've hit KW, ORL, NO, LV, MoBay, Jamaica Air, and Ocho Rios.

We went on a similar cruise almost 9 years ago ... @ that time, it also included New Orleans; not sure if it still does.
We had a great time snorkeling @ Grand Cayman. Some friends who were down there for the week met us w/their jeep and we went out to the turtle farm. A few doors down was a dive shop owned by an ex-pat American couple. They invited us to snorkel in "their" lagoon. It was heaven! The lagoon was crystal clear and about 30 feet. They warned us about the drop off (1,200 feet). Of course both of our new husbands (we were all honeymooning) headed straight out there.
We're going back next year and I hope there's still some out of the way places like that to find!
Have a great time!!! Update and let us know how the trip and cruise was!

In Grand Cayman I agree, VERY short walk from where the tenders dock. Actually, we had a longer walk to get out of the "tender" port than it was to Margaritaville.
Cozumel, it all depends on where your ship docs. If you are at the international pier then it is 3 miles into town, and Margaritaville is at the end of town closest to that pier.

We haven't been a LOT of places on our cruises since we tend to travel on the JUMBO ships. I keep toying with the idea of sailing on a smaller ship with stops at some of the smaller islands.
We (my 10 yo daughter) and I sail each spring break and have done 3 straight years of the Western Caribbean. Same stops each time. Labadee, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Each one offers something different.
Labadee is a gorgeous beach day
Ocho Rios is for climbing the falls (until this most recent trip, where we just hung out at Margaritaville all day)
Grand Cayman we've tried the beach, found it a bit boring, and we've sailed. I'd say it's the place to do shopping if anything at all, or spend the day on board the ship.
Cozumel we just like to hang out at the beach.
We've done Eastern trips two times and have found we absolutely love to sail at both St Maarten and St Thomas.
Keep in mind, we're not all that into adventure. As a single parent of a competitive figure skater, when I go on vacation, I just want to relax. So melting into a beach chair in Cozumel is just right for me.

Stingray City is really cool and if you book Capt Marvin or Capt Bryan you will also get to snorkel which last year was one of the best experiences snorkeling we have had (with wife and 12 and 9 year old). The ones you book from the cruise tend to be more crowded instead of relaxing sailboats.
I have also enjoyed hitting many a Margaritaville, We will hit the one in Grand Turk this summer (in early August)! I love how they are now building them with a pool and slide so the kids have a ball while we have some cocktails........ I'm sure Jimmy never thought of that.....LOL
