We are trying to plan on going.
Why is everyone staying at hooters? Is that like "the place"?
Why not just stay at the MGM? Sorry, this will only be my third buffett show but the BFs 18th. Both have never been to one of the west coast or vegas! We want to stay where everyone is partying... just wondering why hooters?
If we can somehow afford the flight from florida... we are going!

Thanks!
I guess I just wondering because I looked into several places to stay... and for the amount, I feel like for a few dollars more (less than 30) we would stay in a great suite that has a wet bar with a BLENDER at MGM.
But if no one is going to be there partying...
I guess I was looking at the value over the raw price.

When I booked our room, I was looking at price and convienience. We stayed at the Tropicana last year. Wanted to try somewhere different this year, but not too far away from the MGM. Hooters makes it not too far to stumble to and from the show! And the price was decent. We may still rent a couple of Harleys to cruise around on for Thursday and Friday, if it dosen't conflict with us making the casinos even richer........

If you rent harleys, think about taking a ride to Oatman, AZ....it's about 125 miles from Vegas....awesome little gold mining/ghost town....very biker friendly! GREAT ride with lots of twisties!!Illinois Parrothead wrote:When I booked our room, I was looking at price and convienience. We stayed at the Tropicana last year. I thought we'd make the trip again this year, but Mrs SPH said no!
She says if I want to see JB, we'll have to go see him in Hawaii!
Oh well, I guess I gotta do what I can to keep her happy! "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"
The airfare and hotel isn't too much more, and the tix should be a whole lot cheaper than what they charge at the MGM Grand . . . . . . . .

well is the pre show party most likely gonna be at hooters?
or at margaritaville all day?
I dont know, maybe its because I dont have a special code, but the pricing at the hooters.... is so so. But we maybe looking at a bigger suite perhaps?
Anyways, considering the flamingo since the ville is right there and they have an adult only pool section. Also the signature at MGM. they have wetbars with blenders in the room... hhhmmmm. thats convienant.

The last time we went to vegas for a Buffett concert we spent *maybe* six hours in the room.....so take that in to consideration! We were at pre-parties, post-parties and the show most of the time....seminolegrl06 wrote:well is the pre show party most likely gonna be at hooters?

Check out the Imperial and Bill's Gamblin' Hall (the old Barbary Coast) both are right next door to the Flamingo and less $$.

In the past, the 2nd weekend hasn't had an organized event on Friday night....we have usually gone over to Marg'ville and hung out on the 3rd deck....met up with a bunch of BN'ers there last year......the year before there was a Mac Macanaly show on the Friday...so we went there.....Saturday there will likely be some stufff around the Hooters pool in the AM...then the Marg'ville street party and then on to the MGM pool party then to the show itself and as an after show....back to Hooters for a late breakfast (With the best bacon in the freakin' universe!!!!) and then to the pool to see if they have a post party organized.....or a little time on the craps tables.....seminolegrl06 wrote:well is the pre show party most likely gonna be at hooters?

Marty & Moe will be there! We have show tickets, but nothing else booked as yet.
Everyone meeting at Margaritaville last year was an absolute blast. Nice (bad?) to know I can still set personal partying bests (worsts?) this late into the game.
Lookin' forward to seeing some of you again and meeting some new pholks...including some I probably met last year, just too late into the party.
C'mon coolblueswing - it wouldn't be the same without ya!
