Beer....

I'm sure we've done something similar, but it's been a while.

What do you like? Why?

I picked up Sam Adams Light tonight. It's surprisingly good! If I didn't know it was light beer, I never would have guessed...

Otherwise, I'm partial to Harp, Bass, Sam Summer, Blue Moon, Corona, Negra Modelo, Presidente, Red Stripe, and the occasional Guinness. When I'm farther south where I can get it, I like Yuengling.

But I also don't like paying too much for beer, so when I'm out I'll often drink plain old Bud Light (although Sam Light has now risen to the top of the "light" list).

And I much prefer draft over bottles. Cans (ICK...) are acceptable ONLY at poolside, to avoid broken glass....

Your Favorites?

I absolutely do not like any beer that's 'similar' to Coors, Bud, any 'Lite', Miller - Ick.

I love all the MicroBrew beers that are available to us in Colorado. :D

There are 100 licensed breweries in Colorado.

So far tonight... At hooters... We had 3 pitchers of Sam Adams, 2 pitchers of Blue Moon for desert ( this is for 2 people) Sitting at home now I am having a nice cold Boston Ale by Sam Adams.

Favorites though... Top of the list be it -20 below or 120 degrees out Guinness is the top choice.

I've went pretty much island type/Mexican beers such as
Landshark, Miller Chill, Del Mar, SOL, Corona, Dos Equis, Tecate, Kalik, Red Stripe, Presidente, Brahma, Brasil, etc.
Why? I like the tastes of these type of beers and they help to transport me a thousand miles out of my mind.

When going domestic I like Michelob Light and have found that Natural Light works fine for me in a pinch.

I knew I was forgetting at least one....

In Anguilla, Caribe was also quite drinkable (and at $3 a pop also quite CHEAP compared to its American and Mexican cousins...)

I like beer.......it makes me a jolly good fellow.....I like beer....it helps me unwind and sometimes it makes me feel mellow....Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear
This little refrain should help me explain as a matter of fact i like beer

Sorry....went on a tom t hall memory lane trip......

I love trying different micros.....have found that I prefer lighter pilseners/lagers.....nothing really hoppy.....

I stick with most of the local breweries, like my Colorado friends.....and before anyone makes a wisecrack....YES, there are breweries in utah...and they are not hidden in the mountains guarded by a giant bear.

My favorite, so far this summer is called "Bee's Knees Honey Wheat" from a local brewery......

Then you need to be sending me a case or two a month of beer from New Belgium since we can not get anything but Fat Tire out here... And I am all out of 1554, Abbey, and Tripple.

No much of a beer connoisseur I guess since I generally only like the light wimpy beers BUT someone forgot to tell me that Shiner Bock was really "a distinctive, rich, full-flavored, deep amber-colored beer".

Got a taster for Shiner Bock over the last year or so.... [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

Bell's Oberon or Winter White from a bottle or tap. Yuengling, preferably on tap, but bottled is ok. Rogue Hazelnut, Spaten Optimator, Smithwick's (but I don't like Guinness- go figure!), Warsteiner Hefe (although I've only met one Hefe I didn't like- it was a Sam Adams)- on tap only. Had a great Oliver's cream something or other in Baltimore- it had a parrot with an eye patch on the pull! There's a great microbrewery about a mile away called Dragonsmeade- everything I've tried (even if it's a style I don't like) has been good, especially the Wee Heavy. Fat Tire was the first beer I actually thought I liked!

Ice cold canned Medallia in Puerto Rico is just great.
