Relocating Advice

Post by carey24 »

The cold winters and gang crime have gotten the best of me. I've decided to move to Myrtle Beach/Conway, SC from Baltimore. I would have done this 5 yrs ago, I only stayed for mom and sis. Well the neighborhood continues to decline (now I don't even feel safe in my own home) and mom and sis have assured me they'll visit. I truly hate MD and really have no desire to move anywhere else in this state.

Any advice for relocating? I don't even know where to begin. I have a friend in Conway who knows realtors, etc., but that's about it. Thanks!

Call a real estate broker who has been at it for some time. Usually they have vast experience in helping people relocate. I would also make a trip down there to look around, meet the broker and look at some houses. ASk about the job market and so on. Run a search on google about relocating because I would bet that they have a to do list regarding what to do to relocate.

dont move into downtown myrtle. I would strongly recommend on of the neighboring towns such as surfside, garden city, murrells inlet etc.. I know several good real estate agents in the area as we have bought and sold several homes here. you can pm me if you want and i will be glad to give you some contact info.
I know I dont get there often enough but god knows I surely try
