Just lurking and thinking that Jimmy has pretty much covered every situation, hasn't he?
To long ago chances
To all the lost dances
Strange circumstances
And island hoodoo
Green Flash at sunset
Young love recaptured
Just an illusion?
Would it were true?

I thought of one. When I was a ski bum, I dated a girl who was from a wealthy family in Seattle. Her parents sent her away to Sun Valley for awhile because she had gotten knocked up by her high school boyfriend. She had the kid and the parents were raising it as their own, so they sent her away again. She a great girl who obviously was way too controlled by her parents. One time, I drove her over to Seattle to see her family (And you could get better weed in Seattle) As we sat through dinner, her dad kept insulting me until finally I could not take it anymore. I got up, thanked the mother for dinner and walked out the door. The girl came with me, but we pretty much quit seeing each other after that. I would love to see how she turned out, not necessarily to rekindle an old flame, but instead to make sure she is ok. He dad was an ass, and I often wonder if she ever cut the strings.

I don't think I have ever seen the video which you are talking about. But it does kind of sound like about 1,000,000 different country songs.

Well, I guess that makes sense... sorta. I never saw the video either, and the
phrase 'the fare from Chapin's "Taxi"' confused me, but Taxi is a song about
two people who ended up places in life they hadn't planned on going. Definitely
NOT a country song, though. (Todd, have you ever listened to the sequel?)

Sometimes they can be great...if it's a "friends with benefits" situation you just have to be sure that both people are on the page and understand what it is....I had a situation years ago where that was an issue....I find not just with sex but with most aspects of relationships that as Ive gotten older and am now in my 30's that it's a little bit easier to be on the same page with everything....but i Know not everyone will agree with that. I totally agree with what somebody said earlier that of you're single be single but if you ar mearried, be married. I also think the same applies if you are in a committed relationship.....
