Jimmy Buffett Sightings . . .

Post by flyboy55 »

I was running a few errands this morning and while stopped at a light, I swear I saw The Man himself go jogging by! I'm not sure tho . . .

I missed him by mere minutes at a small airport once, during a quick turn, but did get to chat with one of his pilots . . . which unfortunately did NOT lead to a job.

Excluding concerts and Margaritaville Restaurants, has anyone here had a chance encounter with Jimmy just out doing his thing? :)

You won't see him at any of these s*** holes . . . had a friend who cooked in Key West and she said that he would pop in 2 - 3 times a year just to pack the place and then leave.

He is seen aroun Nantucket and the Vineyard often in the summer. No one cares . . . unless he plays at one of the bars and then people show because, well, he puts on a good show. Otherwise he is just another rich obnoxious tourist who I have heard tips bad.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

No...my husband got Jimmy's autograph for me (and thus got to meet him/shake his hand).
But it was at an "official" event.

...and I got to meet his hero (Micky Mantle) and get his autograph for him.

We kinda laugh about how we both met each other's "hero's".
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

I sat down after getting my meal at a buffet the other day, and I do believe there was a guy named Jimmy there. :D

I ate at the buffet last night, no one named Jimmy though. I did meet Meatloaf and it was good.

Desdamona: I bought some buttons at the Tampa show last year. They were not Buffett related. They ask the burning question, "Does anal retentive have a hyphen?"

I think the salve for our affliction is liberal application of alcohol, taken internally.
