a dark and stormy that is. When I visited my sis in Ithaca I went to the local small brewery for a tour and picked up some ginger beer while there along with some other things. Had Goslings sitting in the cabinet. And then I remembered what I could do with those two things
I'm enjoying it. The ginger beer alone is good too and strong. I've had others like Reeds. It burns my lips and throat. Can't find Barrett's though.
BTW - it was one of Rachel Ray's featured recipes last month in her on-line mag.

We had some Barrett's and I didn't find it to be anywhere near as strong as every other ginger beer I've tried.

I tried it tonight, I followed Santa's recipe Gosling's and Barritts. Its not bad, but from the first time I have drank it, I couldn't have more than one or two. its a bit strong, and I didn't think the ginger beer was very strong, seemed pretty normal as a ginger ale...maybe there are the same.
It seemed to me its one of those drinks to drink during the summer days.

We had Dark and Stormy's last night for a sailing birthday party!
The only ginger beer we could find around here yesterday was "Goya" and it was labelled "Jamaican Style" ginger beer....VERY spicy!
It had a much different taste from the Dark and Stormy's we used to drink in Annapolis. I thought we used to drink Stewart's but it could have been Barrett's.

We have the BEST ginger beer in the UK. For a dark & stormy, I mix mine with Mount Gay rum and a squeeze of fresh lime. Fabulous

Congrats on the dark and stormy. I drank those all the time on my trips to Bermuda. They are awesome. I'm not sure what they used for the ginger beer.
Hmmm...your making me thirsty.
