Thanks Marty. Maybe I'll spend my lunch hour surfing the 'net looking for cheap airfare.

Some things to ponder - Buffalo's an hour & a half drive away if that helps the airfare game any. Also, I think you may need your passport if you're flying (but not driving - go figure)LIPH wrote:Thanks Marty. Maybe I'll spend my lunch hour surfing the 'net looking for cheap airfare.
Go to the Maple Reefers site . . . they had a spot for us inside Ontario Place to preparty. There was minimal tailgating, but we flew in, so we just bought their drinks and had a ball. Even in the downpour!Snowparrot wrote:I missed the previous Toronto show, so I am very curious about the partying beforehand... the Molson Amp. is in a kind of park, isn't it?, on the lakeshore? at Ontario Place?
The cops could be mean about any self-provided alcohol and Ontario has rules against drinking on the street or in parks....
Could someone who was there before or is helping with organization please get us some information so we know what to expect.
I've got that week off, so bring it on!!barefoot'n wrote:The Maple Reefers are working on something BIG- ophishul announcement should be any day now...
The mid-week thing is kind of a pain but if you take a day or two off and come up the day before and go to the Boat Bash harbour cruise on Tuesday and then the pre-party and concert on Wednesday, it should be worth your while. We're tryin hard to keep y'all entertained!

I read this and thought cool, flying from London. Must be about a 20 minute flight.......then I see it is London, England. I will be hopefully taking a bus from London, Ontario.Westway001 wrote:We're flying in from London on Tuesday so are hoping to do the Boatbash that evening before an all round good time on Wednesday!

Molson Amphitheatre is located on the lakeshore at Ontario Place but its a separate facility. I wasn't there for the tailgating - came by bus chartered by local parrotheads because the word was there'd be NO tailgating - but saw it on my way in and I've heard from people who were, and it seems like it was pretty cool. As long as people were discreet with their alcohol (no bottles) and stayed in the parking lot itself, the police weren't looking to hassle anyone.Snowparrot wrote:I missed the previous Toronto show, so I am very curious about the partying beforehand... the Molson Amp. is in a kind of park, isn't it?, on the lakeshore? at Ontario Place?

Yes, we are pretty quiet.....you would think the concert is in 4 months, and not 4 weeks. I'm sure things will heat up soon. Looking forward to the pre-concert party announcement!Snowparrot wrote:You go, girl!
These pholks are about as quiet as an old-fashioned Sunday in Toronto!
That means only 25 days till my first trip to Toronto (Canada even...)!caly wrote:Hey Toronto whatdaya say
