You beat me to it!
I'm listening to the pre-concert interview, and going out to dinner in a moment, so I won't be there for the setlist tonight...

Question for you more well-seasoned travelers. I've never driven into Canada. (Actually, I've never been out of the country. Hell, until last year when I went to TX, I'd never been west of the Mississippi.) Anyway, can you take say maybe just a 12 pack or so of beer across the border?

This is from the Peace Bridge website (Buffalo NY/Fort Erie ON), but it'll apply across the country. (http://www.peacebridge.com/dutyfree.php#allowance)
Daily Duty Free Allowances for United States residents planning a stay in Canada are as follows:

For personal consumption - 50 cigars, 1 carton of cigarettes, 200 grams of smoking tobacco, 1.14 liters of alcohol OR 1.5 liter of wine OR 1 case of beer. Gifts - unlimited amount of gifts allowed in Canada, each valued under $60.00.

Coming back into the United States, residents can bring:

Daily - $200.00 allowance, no liquor or tobacco
After 48 hours - $400, including 100 non-Cuban cigars, 200 cigarettes and 1 liter alcohol)
So yeah -- you can bring TWO twelve packs! One for you, one for me. :)

Keep praying to those "Weather Gods" - that would make for an awesome evening if those temps come true!!

5 more days and counting!

Thanks for the info. That's interesting about the gifts. Never gave that a thought and I'm planning on bringing my friend her birthday present. It's waaaaay under $60. Now I've got a good excuse. "Deb, I would have got you something nicer but I was afraid it would get confisicated at the border." Thanks again and I hope you like Shiner Bock.

What, no Yuengling? :D

I used to like Rolling Rock when I was in the U.S. but haven't tried it since it was bought (and moved) by Anheuser-Busch.

Actually, Yuengling is my favorite but my husband likes the Shiner Bock. Maybe we can bring half and half. But you couldn't me near a Rolling Rock, before or after the buyout.

Not long now...!

Sounds great daytime temperature - can you tell me how much it drops in the evening? Here it would be cold [smilie=shake.gif] brrrrrr!, do we need more than short sleeves? Trying to keep the equipment to a mimimum!

The low temp. Tuesday night is supposed to be 15, and 18 for Wednesday. Pretty decent, I would say.

Don't forget that they drive on the left and the 100 speed limit is KMH, not MPH.

Just remember the Molson Amphitheatre is right down off Lake Ontario so with a bit of a breeze 18 degrees C will feel a bit cooler. But with all the "inner warmth" you will feel nothing. :)
