Only about 11 hours to go!!
I have my ticket! I have my Hawaiian shirt on! I have my lei on (yes in the office at work - I am getting offers to buy it too!) and I am listening to Radio Margaritaville (they are playing License to Chill right now).
Can't wait!!
Phins Up!!

The Boat Bash was great. Met a lot of super people. Just wish I could remember their names. LOL. It stayed rain free until there was about a half hour to go. No big deal. And the band was VERY good. Only complaint was the cost of drinks. It was $6.50 for a Rum drink and they didn't have any pineapple juice (what is this world coming too?).caly wrote:South Beach and events tent.......where ever that is.AlbatrossFlyer wrote:where in ont. place is the pre-party?
Did you do the cruise last night?
If so how was it?
Diane and I are about to do a little exploring then head over to Ontario Place for the party. I will be wearing the same shirt as seen in my avatar picture and a blue baseball cap with a shark on it (in case anyone might wish to find me). Unfortunately, the picture of me in that shirt is about 14 years old, and time has taken its toll (and the mustache is long gone). So, you probably won't be able to identify me from it.
Right now the sun is trying to break through and the forecast predicts it will turn out fine. Looks like Jimmy has brought the weather with him.
^^Phins Up^^

Then I'd say it's time for a new shirt, Jack.Pineapple Jack wrote:I will be wearing the same shirt as seen in my avatar picture and a blue baseball cap with a shark on it (in case anyone might wish to find me). Great show tonight! Can I just humbly point out my first post in this thread, back on June 19?

Well, Gord wasn't there, but Jimmy DID do a great rendition of the song I tabbed as most likely to be performed!Gordon Lightfoot would also be an amazing guest; they could do Carefree Highway, Summer Side of Life, Christian Island... but my money would be on Early Morning Rain.

Hurrah for you... and a sub from Subway - hey can't complain.Snowparrot wrote:We made it there and back, thanks to the subway, streetcar & bus... we got rooms at the DAYS Inn, but the bar closed before 12:30, so it's apple juice and a sub from Subway for me. I'm about to read the Set List thread.
Demerara: you picked a winner!
We so wished that we could have been there with y'all and trying NOT to be too crabby we couldn't hear the live show. BUT what we heard was painful so not sure it wasn't such a bad idea to pull plug.
And raccoons brought wine and the mice they brought cheese...

No way. Bubba touched this shirt (and thanks to losing 40 pounds I can fit in it again for the first time in 12 years).Demerara wrote:Then I'd say it's time for a new shirt, Jack.Pineapple Jack wrote:I will be wearing the same shirt as seen in my avatar picture and a blue baseball cap with a shark on it (in case anyone might wish to find me). I would like to thank the Toronto Maple Reefers for sponsoring the Tailgate Party. It was absolutely fantastic!
*clink*
And we got to meet so many of them and other pholks, too. I say this at every concert, but Parrotheads are absolutely the nicest people we ever meet.
BTW, my car made it on the video that was played during Five O'Clock Somewhere. Well, at least my "PHINS" license plate made it. How cool is that?
Safe travels to those like us who will be On The Road Again and heading back to their home islands today.

I too would like to thank the Maple Reefers for a job well done.
I managed to hook up with most of this thread and it is great to put a face to the posts. Pineapple Jack is very correct when he says "Parrotheads are absolutely the nicest people we ever meet.
We got home about 2am and I am very sleepy today......but we are headen out camping in a few minutes.
Safe travels to all again today or whenever you are homeward bound.
Oh, and did I mention I ACTUALLY SAW JIMMY ON HIS WAY INTO THE PARK AND HE GAVE US THE HANG LOOSE!!!!!!!!
He arrived in 4 black vans.
I have witnesses right Marty, Moe, Audra and Scott?![giggle [smilie=giggle.gif]](./images/smilies/giggle.gif)
Again.....a phantastic time. Thanks everyone!

The positive thing to come out of RM pulling the plug on the concert is that the folks that were at the show will get to listen to the re-broadcast!magnus & Mr Moon wrote:We so wished that we could have been there with y'all and trying NOT to be too crabby we couldn't hear the live show. Hope Miles is able to get it on the air soon!

We had a phantastic time at the show.
As always the Toronto tailgate leaves something to be desired...doesn't compare at all to our US tailgates but at least the cops were nice and as long as the alchohol was kept in cups and not visible all was good.
Good to see so many of our Phriends again and to also meet new Phriends as well.
Next up for us is Tampa...what a wonderful Jimmy filled summer we've had.
(We missed you Larry)
