As always the Toronto tailgate leaves something to be desired...doesn't compare at all to our US tailgates but at least the cops were nice and as long as the alchohol was kept in cups and not visible all was good.
Good to see so many of our Phriends again and to also meet new Phriends as well.
Next up for us is Tampa...what a wonderful Jimmy filled summer we've had.
(We missed you Larry)
I almost forgot.......let's give it up for Lefty who worked his magic

There were many highlights at the Toronto show!!
"We are the people" was one for me along with "Heart of Gold" (Neil Young cover) and I enjoyed "Off to see the Lizard"!!
Jimmy and the band were in fine form and we got a couple of decent pictures at the show.
Security was really strange though - they did not check anything regarding bags, purses, backpacks etc but they were merciless if you tried to take in a "Glow Stick" or a beer (you could buy beer inside) and the Amphitheatre was selling it outside and inside so I could not fiigure that one out but I am good at "Chugging my beer" before going in to the show- cannot have wasteage!!
From what I heard from some of the security another reason the show started about 15 minutes late was the line to get in the Amphitheatre was moving so slow and they were trying hard to get almost everyone in before it started.

I got frisked like never before

, but when I told them the backpack only had a towel to sit on, that didn't get checked.
So I got my camera in.

Our strategy: wife carries bag in (with camera), puts a box of tampons in on the top, and then goes to the youngest looking dude...
They always take a little peek inside and say... you can go ahead!

At one show last year they had a male and female security guard at each gate. The guy patted me down and let me go through, then I got to the woman, stopped and held my arms out so she could pat me down too. She looked at me and said "keep moving smarta$$."

I agree that it was phantastic hearing both "We Are The People" and "Off To See The Lizard." As for security, they confiscated our beach balls. Go figure that one out. I guess they thought they were weapons of mass destruction and we might hit someone on the head with them.

Yeah, Off to See the Lizard was amazing. Early MOrning Rain was great, but I would rather have heard Tonight I Just Need My Guitar like other shows.
I can't believe they took your balls, considering the crew threw a couple out into the crowd before the show. They are dangerous though, I got pegged in the side of the head and spilled some beer.
Anybody got an inside track on the rebroadcast? I tried to record it, and thought my system screwed it up.

I also can't wait to hear the re-broadcast of the Toronto show!!
They confiscated Beach Balls and Glow Sticks - don't you just "love" our security!!
I was expecting to be searched/frisked, etc but literally we just walked right in along with our pals!
Overall I give this show a rating of 9 margaritas out of 10!! (Only thing I would have liked to change would have been drop off the songs "Weather With You" and "Dixie Chicken" and put in instead "I Love The Now" and "Far Side Of The World").
But in the big picture it was an amazing show and I would place it in the top third of my 12 Jimmy Buffett concerts I have seen!!
Hopefully Jimmy and the CRB are back in Toronto at the Molson Amphitheatre in 2008!! Don't make us wait 2 years again Jimmy!!

Just wanted to say thanks to the Toronto folks. Had a great time. The Boat Bash and preconcert event were both a lot of fun. Molson was a wonderful venue, although they might want to think about adding a couple of exits. Took forever to get out of there. Security was a little "hit and miss." They confiscated my sealed bottle of water but missed the mini bottle of rum I had in my bra. (The classic approach is still the best sometimes.

) I really enjoyed the show. Of the 7 shows I've been to this year (I know, I need to get a life), I'd say this was my second favorite. My favorite this year was Nissan because Fingers was there.
LIPH-- You shoulda been there.

My favorite is a toss-up between Anguilla and Paris. It's great being in the front row.

And yes, I know I should have been there.

Do we know for sure if they are going to rebroadcast the show? Did the pholks on Radio Margaritaville specifically mention that or is it conjecture at this stage? I have recorded most every show this summer except the two I was at -- Pittsburgh and Toronto. Of course, those are the two I would love to have the most (and Virginia; figures I would screw up the recording of the one show with Fingers). I don't want to get my hopes up about a rebroadcast of Toronto if it is just an assumption on everyone's part.
Now, if anyone does have a good recording (I am a snob about the quality) of Pittsburgh or Virginia and would like to make a trade for another of the summer's shows, please PM me.

RM has announced the dates of the "rebroadcast" of the Toronto show - check the "News" section here on Buffettnews as phjim has them listed there!
I will be listening for sure!!
