Thanks for pointing me to the news item. I so excited to be able to finally record a show that I actually attended.

Aloha everyone!
Just a quick note to thank everone for coming to Tronno to see Jimmy and party with the Maple Reefers, and thanks too for the kind words from everyone from BN I met at the pre-party. Sorry I missed so many others, and sorry I didn't spend much time with anyone due to running around trying to see what needed doing next.
That really was a great concert. We had been at the Labour Day show at Gillette on the preceding Saturday, and while it was also terrific the venue was so big we could barely see the stage and had to resort to watching the screens. The Molson Amphitheatre is a much more manageable size; just too bad we can't have a proper tailgate due to the local likker laws.
Speaking of likker laws, at the Gillette concert they were carding EVERYONE who bought beer at the stadium and I of course had no acceptable ID with me and they turned me down. I saw it coming and had asked the pholks behind me if they could buy me a coupla Landsharks and I would pay them back. Sher nuff they bought me two beers at $7.50 each, and WOULD NOT take any money from me. Gotta love Parrotheads!
Anyway, I prolly won't post much here until the next time Jimmy hits town; don't really have the time to keep up with all you busy posters, nor the quick wit to keep up with your snappy comebacks. Might lurk a bit tho, and I do look at the news page fairly frequently to keep up with the Buffett gossip. I even lift some of the news to put in the Buffett Bytes section of our Club message board (duly credited, of course!) Feel free to drop by our Club web site
www.maplereefers.ca if you wanna see what we are up to anytime and surely visit us at any of our meetings that you might read about there.
Fins way up to you all, and mebbe see some of you again at MOTM!

Linda, no need to apologize for not having "a proper tailgate due to the local likker laws." I have been to many a Buffett show and found the arrangement for the pre-concert party put together by the Maple Reefers to be better than any tailgate I have attended. Having the stage, live music, tables and chairs, no extra cost for food, and a sandy beach-like area all made it more than worth the $20 cost. We met so many phabulous people there -- many of them Maple Reefers. I highly recommend that if Jimmy returns to the Molson, that everyone make it a part of their plans to attend the pre-concert party. You will not regret it.

What PJ said! Maple Reefers did a great job. I'm happy to have joined such a phine group.... and sorry I missed my first PHirst PHriday because of my Mum's accident. I'll be staying in touch, perhaps trying to start an Ottawa offshoot...

Wow, thanks for the great feedback, PJack! I'll pass this on to the members of our Club who worked long and hard to make the party happen!

Sorry to hear about yer mum, Barb, and hope she feels better soon (oops, wrong thread, but I still mean it). Phirst Phriday "jam nite" was phun, with the Maple Reefer Band doing some more songs while other members joined in with guitars, noisemakers and voices and there was a guy who was really good on pedal steel guitar. Then Brain Neale (the lead from Northern Harbour) did a few accoustic numbers. He did some songs he hadn't rehearsed lately so not all the words came out right but we all laughed and tried to help out. Hope you can make it out to a phuture phlocking. I was looking forward to getting to know you a bit better.

From the English duo who came over for the show, thanks to everyone for everything.
We had such a great time on the Boat Bash and at the pre concert party - I thought Northern Harbour were brilliant both times.
The concert was wonderful, loved the Neil Young songs and the sound system was awesome.
Thanks Toronto! See you next time.

It's been a REALLY long week for me...
Today in the hospital I met a Physiotherapist named Kelly who was at the concert (she spotted my Toronto Maple Reefers t-shirt). It was her first, and she says she'S HOOKED. So I encouraged her to get on BN.... she may be turning up soon.
Do concert threads usually go on so long after the concert?
