It's the end of June and not one west coast date. I would absolreakingloutely LOVE to buy tickets to the Jimmy Buffett and The Coarla Reefers, Songs You Know By Heart Tour.
I'll step down from my soapbox now.

I remember someone posted a long time ago that Jimmy should do a tour called "Songs you DON'T know by heart". I would pay anything (almost) to see that concert. Not that I don't like what he plays now, but most are played to death. And we all know there are sooooo many great songs that he never plays. Maybe someday.Fins21 wrote:For me, I could really go for him dropping "Brown Eyed Girl". That song for some reason has gotten WAY too much play time every year. Also, I'd like to see him play Southern Cross more in the standard set list, and free up some more space in the encores to play something a little more obscure, like: Miss You So Badly, Life is Just a Tire Swing, or one of my favorite Buffett songs: LONE PALM!!! That song would be great live acoustic with Mac and Jake.
I gotta keep Fins in the set list due to the fact that its always awesome too see all those people with those fins up!! I could go without CIP!!
PHINS up!!
Did you see the latest Coconut Telegraph in the mail? Just got it yesterday!!SchoolGirlHeart wrote:I'm not sorry to see WDWGSAS dropped, except I liked Doyle's solo!
JB's never going to do a big show without Cheeseburger, Margaritaville, Volcano, Five O'Clock Somewhere, Fins, OPH, and Pirate Looks At Forty, among others. Really, the only one I wouldn't mind dropping from the list would be Volcano. The others define a Jimmy Buffett concert and I'd miss the crowd going nuts.
Although I don't dislike Brown Eyed Girl, I trade it in a *heartbeat* for another JB song. Need it upbeat, to keep things moving? Play School Boy Heart, I Love the Now, Last Mango in Paris, Migration, Peanut Butter Conspiracy, We Are The People, etc.
I would LOVE to see a small venue show where the set list is nothing but old, vintage Jimmy. Anguilla came very close; there were some GREAT surprises!
As much as I love Boats Drinks, I'd trade it in a heartbeat for Barometer Soup every now and then.
I love Come Monday, but I wouldn't mind a rotation with When The Coast Is Clear, Tin Cup Chalice, Cowboy In The Jungle, etc.
We're definitely going to need a three day Buffett festival with no repeats!(Can't you see it? Parrotstock, at the Dune Preserve...)
You really think so??Boston Blackie wrote:Gotta keep fins. Watching 20,000 people move their "fins" to the left, then to the right is such an awesome sight!kitty wrote:he can keep "FINS" too...sick of that!

What people at a Buffett show acting silly? I thought that was the point. Lose your self in the music and enjoy the now! all the songs listed sound different and the show and I don't mind any of them. I would just prefer to hear certain ones over some others, but they are all good.kitty wrote:You really think so??Boston Blackie wrote:Gotta keep fins. I think it looks rather silly...like a huge "simon says" fest...maybe for a bunch of kids...but I never play along.
