Pico de gallo recipe?

Post by Bob Roberts »

I love fresh pico de gallo when I go to places like Salsarita's and Moe's. The fresher the better. However, you can't really get fresh pico in stores. Does anybody make it and has a good recipe for it?

That sounds about right. The longer it sits in the fridge before you eat it, the better it is since all the flavors merge together. I usually make it in the morning if I want to eat it at night.

I sometimes add a splash of tequila to my pico and guacamole. It gives them a little something extra.

That's pretty much what I do, except I use garlic salt, instead of normal salt.

And let it sit for a couple of hours in the fridge. If it sits too long, it gets kinda 'soggy' and it's not as good.
