Jimmy had palm trees on stage and lots of blue and green spotlights. It was at the Miami Baseball Stadium with the stage in center field. All the seats and infield were packed. Back before they put down a floor and chairs on baseball fields, “the lawn” was INFRONT of the seats. What a concept!
So, what was your first concert ever? Not your first JB concert (unless they are one and the same). Date, venue, line-up.
I was there. Not my first but a great show, full moon coming up over center field.
First was The Beatles in DC, early '64. Also saw the Beach Boys later that year or '65.

The Beach Boys, Auditorium Theatre Chicago July 1973 and I'm pretty sure Brian Wilson was with them for this leg of the tour.
Saw Chicago and The Beach Boys a month later at the old Chicago Stadium and that show was definately sans Brian

This is funny.
My first three concerts were:

Osmond Brothers in 1972
Tony Orlando and Dawn 1973
I was all of 8 at my first concert.

First ever Jimmy Buffett concert was Aug. 31, 1987. (Next month will make 20 years).
First concert of any kind was in May, 1978 in Sydney, N.S.W.
HELLOOOOOO, JENNY!- Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show, who opened for The Eagles. What a show that was!!!
That same year I also saw ABBA and Fleetwood Mac in Tokyo.
First concert ever in the U.S. was Fleetwood Mac in Honolulu (March, 1980).
Most recent OTHER THAN JIMMY concerts were
Gordon Lightfoot (Saturday night)
John Prine
Eric Clapton
Olivia Newton John
Plus several parrothead/Jimmy Buffett tribute bands over the last few years.

My first concert was Meatloaf also, probably right after I graduated high school in the 80s. That was back when stuff was just passed around and even though I "didn't inhale", I had a good contact high going on and I don't even remember how I got home! My parents would have died or killed me, they were so strict, if they had known where I was, none less what was going on around me!!! Good times!!!
(Lord, please don't let it come back to bite me with my own daughter, Amen!)

My first concert was there too. The Beach Boys, 1978. Later that year I saw Queen and ELO in the same place.

My first concert was JB, in either 1979 or 1980, and I've never been able to go back and figure out which year.... It was at the Naval Academy.... Can you picture a few thousand guys and a handful of gals in uniform, listening to JB? As I remember, no one sat.... And I wondered, "Who is this guy? I like what I hear!"

Gary Wright "Dream Weaver"
Gentle Giant
Peter Frampton

It was at the Anahiem Stadium in 1975? 1976?
My Best friend Dan and I drove in his cool '71 firebird with his broken leg (Serious softball accident at 2nd base....

)..... met my 2nd girlfriend there....Some chick next to Dan threw up wine and whole grapes all over his cast...my that was yummy the next day drivin' home in 110 degree heat....

First live show was The Osmonds.... 1973 I think.... in Ft Lauderdale. Mother took me!
Saw JB in a bar on the beach in 1976.... I was playing beach volleyball with MYF kids! We werent allowed in...but could HEAR as well as see him sitting on a stool strumming.
First JB show...... Lakeland FL 1976 or 77 in the middle of a field... FL's answer to Woodstock. Hoards of acts...ARS, Orleans, Melanie and Pure Prarie League among them.
I followed that up with the 79 show when he opened for the Eagles Hotel California show...in Tampa @ The old Sombraro.... Had such fun went to Gainesville the very next day to catch the show again!

Thus...first road trip!

First JB show was 1991, Merriwether Post Pavillion (just re-reading a story I wrote about that road trip, actually.)
I've noticed that several people have listed the Osmonds as their first concert. Interesting....

KISS, with Cheap Trick as the opener
San Diego Sports Arena, June 1977
After that show, I was disappointed that ALL bands didn't have explosions with columns of fire!

Saw this same tour in Portland, Oregon at the Glass Palace. Summer before 6th grade. Cheap Trick got booed off the stage! Also saw my first b

bs in person at this show. Drunk girl literally ripped her shirt off, had a Kiss Army tattoo (probably painted) on her chest. She was promptly escorted out. Add in the Kiss stageshow, and this was one he!! of a first concert
