I agree it was well-said!
Those who "get it" understand that Jimmy Buffett may not be the best singer around, may not be the top songwriter or the most accomplished musician recording and performing today, but the whole package is much, much greater than the individual parts.
His carpe diem philosophy infuses his music and speaks to many of us on several levels. We Baby Boomers who grew up along with him in the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s understand where he is coming from. But his message is universal, by evidence that other generations appreciate his music and his philosophy.
None of us are getting out alive, but we may as well enjoy the party before the end of the world. We all should strive to grow older but not up and die while we are living rather than live while we are dead.

I'm so happy we could help in our own small way to get this recognition
for Mr. Buffett and the work he does inspiring people both with his music
and with his generous spirit. I'm just glad he uses his powers for good!
I'll be looking forward to the write-up he receives in the Focus magazine.
THANKS to Eric Kraske for taking the initiative and sending in his story!
