Knocked Up

Post by LesPaul30 »

Ok- I saw it the other day-

I must be in the major minority but I just found this really dumb. I am amazed since I thought "40 Year Old Virgin" was priceless. That film can come on at any time and still I will get sucked in watching it. Great comedy.

This one? Either I had different expectations on it, or I don't know. I just didn't buy it. Yes, it had some pretty funny moments here and there, but as a whole, I was really let down. It just seemed too forced and over the top.

All the reviews too had it as an "A" too according to critics reviews on Yahoo Movies.

Not to sound like Charles Grodin when he had his show on, but "I don't know....."

Castro is still playing in Cuba, but the homefield advantage isn't what it used to be.

You're not alone. I usually don't go see a lot of the comedies that everyone else likes, but the reviews on this had been good, so I went.

I thought it was stupid and thoroughly implausible (did I spell that right???) and really didn't like it at all.

Okay, I'm the reverse. I was not a huge fan of 40 Year Old Virgin but I thought Knocked Up was great! I thought it was one of if not the smartest comedies I have ever seen, and probably the best movie I've seen in theaters since the 3rd Lord of the Rings movie.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

I have yet to see Knocked Up-- but im with you on 40 year old virgin. I felt I wasted almost 2 hours of my time watching it. Why can't they just make movies like the Kentucky Fried Movie, Airplane, Porky's, Blazing Saddles, History of the World anymore... Those were always the best.. right along with Blues Brothers and Animal House
