you'd think Jimmy would have a petition for the R&R HOF if the Monkees do. For different reasons but still.

The Monkees in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Isn't it bad enough that the Ramones are in there? The Monkees were a manufactured band, the Backstreet Boys without the choreography.

May the "NES" be with you.

Her name was Joanne
And she lived in a meadow by a pond
And she touched me for a moment
With a look that spoke to me of her sweet love

Definitely with you on this one. This is a band put together for a tv show!

I never considered the monkees R&R. They were definately an important part of pop culture.

Not to mention that it almost had Charlie Manson as a member.

Sorry to disagree with so many. (Actually, no, I'm not).
But I was 15, I didn't know any better, I LIKED THE MONKEES.
I still do.
I saw them at the Taste of Iowa on Mays Island in C.R. in 1996 during their 30th anniversary tour.
GREAT TIME, GREAT MUSIC.

Put them in the R&R H.O.F.
The Monkee fans will be happy, the Monkee haters will have something to b|tch about.
Everybody wins.

I just checked over there and they didn't have this link up. (At least I couldn't find it) so I put it up.

I did see this over there though.
