Can't stand the abbreviations that people type these days..
Especially the 'ur'...
I've called more than one person at work for wut. I ask them how unbelievably lazy can they be to not type a four letter word correctly.
Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all..

absolutely, you ruin the full effect of a perfectly, good four-letter word when you abbreviate it.sy wrote:and 'wut'SMLCHNG wrote:Don't text.

I texted a couple of times this morning. I need to work on my typing, I'm not very good at it. Must be a generation thing.

I don't get the whole text messaging thing. The kids HAVE TO HAVE a cell phone and then spend most of their time text messaging. Then there's that monthly surprise on the cell statement too. I'm confused. I thought phones were to talk on. Bring back the telegraph!!! Just thinking about the good ol' days.

It is supposed to be more convenient, at least that what I've been told. If a kid us busy their firends can still tell them things, and if they aren't busy they can trade quick messages without having to be near a computer with an IM program.Tequila Revenge wrote:I don't get the whole text messaging thing. I remember reading an article several years ago that said a study showed that teenagers in Japan were developing abnormally strong thumb muscles due to the fact that they use their thumbs so much for texting.
