regarding your question about QB's this season.

They are horrible . . .

in no particular order . . . these are the only QBs I feel worth a sh*t:

1. Manning
2. Favre
3. Romo
4. Anderson
5. Garrard
6. Brady
7. Hasslebeck
8. Garrard
9. Roethlisberger (sp?) . . .
10. Maybe Garcia . . .
Can we wait a year or two on Anderson and Garrard? Remember last year we thought Jay Cutler was ready to be a star and Phillip Rivers was a pro-bowler.

A firm grasp of the obvious, but all those QB's have great running games to work with too..... excluding Garcia.

Were you already counting Mueller and the two other guys?

I believe that over 70 QB's played this season . . . and unless I am forgetting someone on that above list there are 20 teams who have sh*t QB's . . .

but every other skill position is better, overall, then from the early 80's . . . 70's . . . IMO
Has McNabb become sh!t? or has he always been?

well . . . since the Super Bowl he is not McNabb of old . . . perhaps injury or perhaps a victim of circumstances but I would not put him up there right now . . . but if I was a Miami or an Atlanta I would love to have him for the future . . .

JAX v. Pitt could be a classic . . . frankly, I want no part of JAX as a Patriots fan. (no offense Pitts fans).

Philadelphia hasn't gotten McNabb a good receiver since TO left. I know you're going to say that the Patriots won three Super Bowls without a big name receiver. The receiver doesn't need to be big name, he just has to be clutch. The Patriots have, recently anyway, had those receivers even if they only got a "big name" receiver this year.

I the first year the Pats won I remember how the Pats used a bunch of offensive plays that I will, because I don't know how else to explain it, weird. All those little dump passes to Antwain Smith or those little tight end routes that got Patten free over the middle . . . play after play of 3 yards - 7 yards . . . it was crazy.

And I felt that the Pats did that because Brady had a "weak" arm . . . I was very wrong . . .

Just saying . . . McNabb will be back, if healthy, and if he can find the right system to play in.

More probably that he was a "rookie" in terms of not playing much. I think the first Super Bowl was his second year???

As great as he is...and I do believe he is great...I don't think he really should have won.

In the last 7 weeks....he had a total of just over 300 yards!!!!
Between injuries and the "Rookie Wall"....just not effective.

Joe Thomas anchored a Cleveland o-line that was awful last year.
In the last 15 games, they gave up 7 SACKS.

But linemen aren't glamorous enough to win ROY. Peterson would be my next vote.

But they have a Westbrook...who IMO is one of the top 5 players in football!!...The guy can run and the guy can catch the ball...very explosive player!!

Valid point but Westbrook can't do it all by himself. I think they need someone to take the pressure off him.

January 2, 2008 - The Miami Dolphins today named Jeff Ireland as their new general manager, effective immediately. Ireland joins the Dolphins after a seven-year stint with the Dallas Cowboys, including the past three as the team’s Vice President of College and Pro Scouting. In fact, of the 53 players on the current Cowboys team, which went 13-3 and won the NFC East in 2007, 38 were acquired over the last three years, including 12 of the club’s 22 starters.
