It occured in Indy during the break between the 3rd and 4th quarters of last week games. So let me get this straight, a girl works hard and wins the local and then regional matches and has the honor to go to compete at the national level. So she packs her bags, grabs the shirt of the team she is "representing" and heads to Indy. When she gets out on the field, instead of cheers, she hears boos. Apparently the fans in Indy couldn't see past the Patriots jersey and recognize the accomplishments she had made just to get there. And people say New England has no class.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=a ... &type=lgns

And people complain about the Pats fans being classless (this is coming from a person who isn't a Patriots fan). This is one of the most classless acts I have ever seen. I can understand the booing if she was playing for the Patriots and on the field against the Colts but come on she is a 15 year old who won the PPK competition.
Yes it was classless of what SOME fans did. I was at the game and didn't boo.

But seriously, if this would have been a Colts fan in New England are we saying New England fans wouldn't boo? Or if it was a kid wearing a Yankees jersey?
That is a rhetorical question... my hunch is if it was Foxboro most fans would have been indifferent about a girl wearing a Colts jersey and done nothing (besides most of them would have been inside the club section staying warm  ).... NE fans don't worry about the Colts as much as the Colts fans worry about the Patriots. It's like Red Sox - Yankees, Red Sox fans stress over the Yankees far more than Yankees fans stress over the Red Sox...or at least that how it has been, with 2 WS the past few years that may change.

I do remember back in the late 1990's when Joe Torre was away battling cancer his first game back was at Fenway, when he brought the lineup card out he got a standing ovation.
AND I also heard that when the Yankees came to Fenway in 2001, the whole crowd sung New York, New York by Frank Sinatra to show support.

And no the Pats fans, I don't think will boo a kid for wearing a Colts jersey.
I do!!!!...Please most have been drinking all afternoon!!!..there fans are far from Choir Boys.......That is a homer speaking!!!

Didn't the Red Sox fans give Clemens a standing O when what was thought as his last game at Fenway!!!
Yep about Clemens.

I think there is no amount of alcohol that can get rid of that image. I couldn't even get through the whole thing.

Wow. Thought for sure the Giants D-Coordinator Spagnuolo (sp?) was going to get the job once the Super Bowl finished.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,

Tonight I just need my guitar

The thing with the NFL rule about not getting a coach that is still in season is that people who could be good coaches are at a slight disadvantage if their team is in the playoffs.

A guy who played for the Rams the year they lost the Super Bowl to the Patriots filed a $100 million lawsuit yesterday.

It comes out to be the difference between the winner's and loser's take for the Super Bowl.

I would think that if the Patriots do lose this one, which I don't think they will, but if they do, then the Patriots MUST be striped of that all three titles and be forced to payback the winners take. They should also be banned from making the playoff for two years (similar to the NCAA rule).

Because one judge says so? If any punishment like you described is going to come from this, it's going to come from Roger Goodell - not the judge in this case, not Arlen Spector, or anybody else.

BTW, are winner's and loser's shares from the Super Bowl standard across the league or can they differ by team or even player?

I don't think judges should determine the punishment of the Patriots other than what is in the lawsuit, however, I don't know, if the suit is ruled against the Patriots, that Goodell could have the same type of punishment as earlier and consider it with teeth. There will be a lot more uproar stating that that would have been too easy and Goodell needs to go further.
