Here We Are, for sure. I'm surprised it's such an overwhelming winner here, given that it seems to get a lot of hate in other threads. or am I thinking of "We're Still Here"?

Gotta agree. ASPOL is one of jimmys best written songs in recent years. its a shame its never played.i love here we are but the line about dave matthews and the 2nd version of the song im not a fan of.SharkOnLand wrote:I guess I'm in the minority. I love ASPOL.
Here we are is a good song, but in my mind is on a studio album. Even if it is in video form. Either way, ASPOL gets my vote.

By itself, ASPOL is a pretty good song. However, the first time I listened to it was immediately after I finished reading the book, and it struck me as a cheesy, musical version of the book... Guess that kind of tainted it for me right away.changingchannels wrote:Gotta agree. A Salty Piece Of Land by far. It was recorded for LTC and it's an excellent tune.
I've never gotten Here We Are. It comes off as a pat on the back that's a little smug. It sounds like filler.

tie between here we are, and a salty piece of land voted for salty piece of land though because the whole song just sounds very well put together and very jimmy buffett. not that here we are doesnt. just like the other better.
