Cap'n Ps pollathon (which I enjoyed very much) got me thinking.....
a lot of the songs I love best are because of one or two lines that have crept in to my vocabulary......
What are your Buffettisms?
For me....I talked about doing the 'Desperation Samba' whenever we're close to a deadline for something.....getting ready for vacay, Christmas shopping, or something like that......
My daughter and I often comment that "There's no dumbass vaccine" when we see stupid people........so we say that a lot.
My son is looking for an apartment (can I get a HALLELUJAH)....and I found myself singing to him...."I'd like to be a jellyfish, cuz jellyfish don't pay rent...." Now I call him the jellyfish....cuz he ain't been paying rent!!

Depends on the situation but I've often commented, 'there goes another permanent reminder of a temporary feeling'.

I often say to folks when they ask, "What's going On?" I always reply "Oh, This and That - Comes And Goes".

I love the "definition" of Margaritaville... being not a place, but a state of mind. Since I live in Wisconsin and we don't have the sand and palm trees I have to use my imagination a little, but Margaritaville is always where I am headed.
..Hence my license plate... 2MGRTVL

If we couldn't laugh we would go insane ... I teach 3 year olds 3 mornings a week
Also tell myself all the time that wrinkles only go where the smiles have been.
My husband and I use the "evolution can be mean" like an inside joke when we see someone who, from their behavior, is in the shallow end of the gene pool.
Also when I have a "here we go again" reaction to a news story I hum the "we're just recycled history machines, cavemen in faded blue jeans."
LOVE that Bubba's such a wordsmith

Johnny Redfeathers from A Salty Piece of Land - "Leap... and the net will appear"
Just one of my favorites. It inspired me to quit my job (and I got a better one)

I tend to say, "I’m horny and my mind begins to roam, So please take your drunken fifteen year old girlfriend home"

Every pay day I tell my boss..."Though I didn't get rich, you son of a b****, I'll be back just wait and see." She's a buffett fan too though, so she takes no offense.

Most of my buffettisms come from Live concerts that I've listened to way too many times:
My husband and I always say, "Why don't you check into a cheap motel, get some crystal meth, and RELAX!!!' from Aspen 2006 story of fundamentalist preachers.
or from the same album when I have a hangover...
"Going down to city market, going to get some chocolate milk...."
There are so, so many things I say every day...kind of a little scary, huh?

I don't use any, I think I turn a phrase quite well without Jimmy's help.

I can't tell you how many times I've pulled up to a stop sign, and as I turn to clear the intersection find myself singing, "Looking to the left, looking to the right."

I work for a big FOrtune 100 corp and in the construction business so "No Dums Ass Vaccine" is always a big hit. I think one of my contractors is gong to make tee shirst with that saying on it. From TWIHWYWB, "I DON'T CARE," screamed at the top of your lungs is pretty theraputic too.
I remember someone posted on the Barometer Soup thread that there's a Jimmy Buffett lyric for every situation in life. I think she's right.
