I remember when he got pranked live on the 6PM SportsCenter by Captain Janks (a regular caller into Howard Stern)..
Janks pretended to be Steve Bartman and was calling days after the famous Bartman game.

Why couldn't it be Chris Berman instead? I don't know how that guy keeps his job, he's awful. He must have pictures of some of the executives in compromising positions with farm animals.

He is so bad, I agree.

I couldn't watch the HR Derby because of him... I probably wouldn't have watched anyway but because of him I didn't even flip over to see who was winning once.

ESPN always assignes him to do the play by play of the early baseball playoff games they carry. He is so bad at play by play calling.

Sportscenter is tough to watch these days as it is. ESPN constantly forces any sport they are broadcasting down your throat. Arena football highlights? Please. Also it is all dunk or home run highlights with Stu Scott screaming or some other hack trying to get in their own signature catch phrase followed by Pedro Gomez camped outside of TO/Barry Bonds/etc house.

Agreed. They are so far up the NFL's a** that they have "NFL Live" on every day of the year. And I'm sorry, but Stuart Scott is downright reserved compared to Stephen A. Smith. That guy might have a lot to say; I wouldn't know because it says it all in such an argumentative abusive way I change channels as soon as his mouth opens. And Chris Berman was there when ESPN was born, so he'll be there until he or it dies.

Good luck, Dan.

Why couldn't they have gotten rid of the pretty boy, up the ass of the PAC-10, licking charlie weisses shoes, shameless ohio state promoting hater of the real conferences of football... the SEC and ACC... kirk herbstriet?

My favorite thing to do on a saturday morning? Wake up, crack open a beer, and watch college gameday in bed. I just can't enjoy it. I am screaming at the TV... instead of enjoying my beer in bed. I am not sure if he can hate more on the SEC already stellar defense... but watch him. He will figure out way, any way, to work in how much (the overrated) USC is. I gotta tell you, I dont want to hear about that while I am watching MY team play. Maybe that stuff works in LA, and gets the hollywood crowd to lick his ass... but damn son!

Bottomline: If kirk is going to be so shameless, one of the other guys have to at least mention a college in the southern region of the country. Lee show some love for your alma mater!

and before you try and call me out and say FSU is not in the SEC... ya I know that... We are in the ACC. But the SEC has notriously tought defense and the fact they get no cred is just p*** poor. ACC has the second toughest defense. This all might change come september... but I am just going historically at this point.
