National League.....real baseball....more strategy......and all the DH does is prolong careers or creates a position for guys who can't play the field!!

I still ask Larussa...why wasn't Pujols put into the game? He may be struggling this year compared to usual but it's Pujols! He's clutch. Who knows? It may be his own way of sending a reality check to him because he's a little under par right now. He claims he was holding him for if the game went on longer. Hmmmm...all I know is Pujols was angry about it after the game.

Despite being a Brewers' fan, I tend to lean AL.
It's because I've been in an AL only rotissiere league for over 10 years. I just know the players better.

Pujols injured himself slightly during the HR Derby on Monday night. LaRussa, as Pujols manager, decided not to risk losing his superstar for the rest of the season.

This has NOT been confirmed by player or manager, but if you TIVO'd the derby, go back and watch the end of round 2. You can tell.

NL all the way. The AL with the designated hitter crap takes the "strategery" out of the game and lets bad managers look brilliant (ie. Ozzie in '05).

I'm not a huge fan of baseball, more a casual fan. I was a fan of both the Dodgers and A's growing up, before Colorado got a team.

If I had to pick, I'd go NL. The strategy makes it a little more exciting, with the double switches and pitchers hitting. I don't "hate" the DH, I just think it makes watching less exciting.

Both Leagues. I still follow my Baltimore Orioles, but after 20 years as season ticket holders my group of friends gave them up 3 years ago after watching Peter Angelos slowly destroy the team. After Cal Ripken retired, I now go to only a handful of games each year. Lately I've been having more fun taking my kids to minor league games (Frederick Keys in a Class A league). Minor league ball in so many ways is much more fun and pure. Plus the best ticket in the house is only $11.

I've also adopted the Washington Nationals as my 2nd favorite team. Just like New York, Chicago and the SF/Oakland Bay area, we're lucky in this area to have both AL and NL teams nearby.

When I travel on business to Tampa, Dallas, Boston, New York and Philadelphia in the summer, I also try to catch a game whenever possible.

I always root for the American League in the all-star game, and, although I'm no fan of the DH at all.

I think the idea of the D.H. was an innovation suggested by the former eccentric owner of the Oakland Athletics, Charles O. Finley.
He wanted to LITERALLY make the game N.F.L.-esque. Desginated hitters, designated fielders, and designated runners, for Christ's sake.

I don't really like the DH. I think if you want to play with the best baseball players in the world you should be able to hit AND field. Jim Thome, for example, gets so much praise but he's the worst fielder I've ever seen. I respect people like Griffey, Ichiro, etc. because they are 2 dimensional.
