Friday morning-12:30 AM C.D.T.
I won't be around on Saturday, so I'll say it now:
Congratulations to the Michigan State Spartans on their victory over Iowa-they made it look like a cake walk.
MODERATORS:
Feel free to cut & paste this and move it to the appropriate page on Saturday afternoon after the Hawkeyes get their bu.tts kicked by Michigan State.

Home against Miami & Fla St........at Maryland & Clemson..........nothing there to be totally intimidated about. This game @ Blacksburg was DEFINITELY a major test. I'll give you that anytime you go on the road you have to be wary of your opponent. Sure Clemson can light it up at times & Maryland can be solid at times but I can't see either teams defense being more stout than the Hokies.Brown Eyed Girl wrote:Based on their schedule, that's a tough sell IMHO.Dr.Corona wrote: BC does have a legitimate shot at the title game this year and this step 1 in making it happen.
Is it just me or does it seem like teams are recovering more of their onsides kicks these days. We're seeing more deviations of the onsides kicks so maybe it's becoming more difficult to defend because of that.
Oh, and by the way........show of hands from Hokie fans who enjoyed seeing Bud Foster rush 3 at the end of the game. Let's give an All-American candidate QB ALL DAY to look over the secondary.
And look out people....with the Red Sox on their way to being World Champs, the Pats cruising along towards possibly ANOTHER S.B., the Celtics looking to make noise with KG, Ray Allen & Paul Pierce & now BC making a run towards the BCS title game........will we be able to put up with Boston fan??!!

I am not a college football expert but if they win out they will be at worst BSC #2. Wins @ GT, VT already. They still have to play @ Clemson and @ Maryland and at home vs. Miami and Florida St.. so there is a big hill to climb but should they win out there is no way they would any worse than #2.

actually they have a chance at being number one because of the stupid big ten schedule finishing so early if everything stays the sameBottleofRum wrote:Brown Eyed Girl wrote:Based on their schedule, that's a tough sell IMHO.Dr.Corona wrote: BC does have a legitimate shot at the title game this year and this step 1 in making it happen.

Even if BC runs the table and beats Va Tech or Virginia in the ACC game, and OSU wins out, no way they Bucks will get dropped from the top spot.Capt.Flock wrote:actually they have a chance at being number one because of the stupid big ten schedule finishing so early if everything stays the sameBottleofRum wrote:

However we know that's not a concern as Michigan WILL defeat the Buckeyes this year!! unless mike hart or chad henne are not able to play.

Dr. I will say Hart scares me but Mr. Henne does not but it really does not matter as the number 1 defense should take care of them ( i hopeDr.Corona wrote:Even if BC runs the table and beats Va Tech or Virginia in the ACC game, and OSU wins out, no way they Bucks will get dropped from the top spot.Capt.Flock wrote:actually they have a chance at being number one because of the stupid big ten schedule finishing so early if everything stays the sameBottleofRum wrote:

You're assuming anyone is able to put up with them now.Dr.Corona wrote:....with the Red Sox on their way to being World Champs, the Pats cruising along towards possibly ANOTHER S.B., the Celtics looking to make noise with KG, Ray Allen & Paul Pierce & now BC making a run towards the BCS title game........will we be able to put up with Boston fan??!!

My Hokie is beyond consoling today.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

I have been going to games in Blacksburg for nearly 11 years and when BC scored that last TD with 10 seconds to go, you could have heard a pin drop in Lane Stadium. I don't recall a time it was ever that quiet in that stadium.Carolinadreamin' wrote:My Hokie is beyond consoling today.![]()

Even with the monsoon rains and my entire body frozen numb it was still fun to be there.
We had an OBGYN appt today and my wife proudly wore her Tech gear to the appt. Our doc is a UVA grad even felt sorry for them last night.
