Uhhhhh....................did'nt we just dominate the top rushing offense in the nation and their Heisman candidate running back? Anytime you hold them to one TD, I think that's something. Just my opinion, though.
I agree, UT looked really good against Arky on Saturday. However, when you look at the Razorbacks' record, the win isn't as impressive as it would have been if it had come last year.
I know this is a case of comparing A to B to C, but Auburn held McFadden and Jones in check a few weeks ago as well, and that was a great accomplishment, but I think we saw on Saturday that was more of a reflection on Arkansas's inability to find a balanced offense (all run, no pass) as opposed to a really stout defense.

I've been hearing bits and peices for a while now about this, but its coming from several sources today. Michigan fans, Les Miles is not the answer. I think he's really not that smart and is very fortunate to have an awesomely talented team at LSU. Any coach will be lucky to get that job! I can't help but hope this will be a distraction for LSU in a couple of weeks if we get to play them in Atlanta!
I've heard rumors of that as well. That could really start some interesting dominos falling. Of course the other big SEC rumor is that Texas A&M was Tuberville. One of the less repeated rumors is that is Miles leaves for Ann Arbor, LSU will make a push to bring Tuberville there.
But then again I have heard rumors on a couple of messageboards from people who "know people in the athletic department" that Spurrier has been visiting Auburn in the last couple of weeks.
This off season could be one of the most active coaching carosell's in recent memory.

Carr leaving sounds like it will happen. Miles not that smart.........at Okie State he went 4-7, 8-5,9-4,7-5. That's a decent record in Stillwater. He's had great records at LSU. I think you could say many coaches in the SEC are fortunate to have talented teams. I like the fact that he's got his footprints in some key areas in the country, being born in Ohio, played and assisted here in Michigan, assisted in Colorado before moving on to Head coaching jobs in the state of Oklahoma & Louisiana. So he's got a lot to put on his resume when he enters the homes of recruits!
Part of me would like to see Michigan make a run at a Chris Petersen up in Boise (if that's not exciting football I don't know what it) or Jim Leavitt out of South Florida (dudes built a program from scratch)!
But above all.....this week...........Just BEAT OSU!!!

you guys owe LSU a payback for that SEC loss a few years ago.

Man, do we ever! I've thought about that, but we've gotta take care of Vandy and Kentucky first. One game at a time. If we do end up in Atlanta, I'll need tickets. Know anybody selling any?

I don't see Tuberville leaving the SEC, but I could be surprised. The SEC is so strong with so many good coaches now, the only reason I could see him leaving is if we wants an easier schedule. I guess I could see him at LSU. I've been wondering who might end up there. Is there a reason he wants to leave Auburn?
I have been hearing for several weeks now that South Carolina wants Spurrier out. I don't think they want to give him the power he wants, especially when they're still a mediocre team. I've got news for SC........if Spurrier can't do it, nobody can. Don't think you'll get anybody any better in there. If he does leave and wants to continue to coach, I have no doubt he'll stay in the SEC.

Regarding Tuberville - I honestly don't see him leaving Auburn. He has just (within the last month) moved into what he describes as a "dream home" on Lake Martin, just up the road from campus, and his two sons are in middle school and extremely involved in sports with the school. His wife designed the house and they continue to say they are extremely happy to be where they are.
That being said, there is always the possibility of lingering resentment over what became known as JetGate, when in 2003 the then university president and Athletic Director flew - on a private jet owned by the head of the board of trustees - to Louisville to ask Petrino if he would like to Auburn head coaching job. Add to that Tuberville's previous job as defensive coordinator in College Station before moving on to DC at Miami then to HC at Ole Miss and to AU, I guess anything is possible.
To be honest, the rumor really began being mentioned on the Paul Finebaum radio show out of Birmingham - a known Alabama schill. He and other Bama boosters say Tuberville wants to repay the school for 2003, that he is "afraid" of going head to head with Saban every year in recruiting, etc. Word out of Auburn circles is that the rumors are being started/leaked by Bama officials/boosters/etc. to give Saban an edge in recruiting and to try to distract the Auburn team going into the game on the 24th. Auburn has won 5 straight over Bama, and #6 coming to the $32 million man would not look good for them.
The Buckeyes are number one kind of scares me because of what is happening this year
Because of what is going down this year, no team will go into the National Championship game undefeated. My prediction OSU will down somewhere down the stretch. They've got Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan in the Big House. I could be wrong but I see them with at least one loss, maybe two.
Sorry but nope Defense win championship and they have one of the best
Told ya so...
yes Illinois won but there is some controversy about the not called fumble that was recovered in the end zone by the Buckeyes which could have change the game.
Oh well it is time for THE GAME Buckeyes against Llllloyd Carr (One "L" for each loss vs. Jim Tressel) and the team up north
Tough break for the Ducks last night. Once Dixon went down, the tone of the game changed dramatically. With him at the helm, I really believe there was no stopping Oregon. Can't believe Leaf was SOOOOOO horible!
So Rock Chalk Jayhawk gets an opportunity to jump to that coveted #2 spot this weekend with a "W" over the Cyclones of Iowa State. Verrry interesting indeed.
Even with the lack of a playoff, you gotta admit that this time of the season is pretty damn exciting!
GO BLUE!!!!!!

Given the way that #2 teams have been beaten up on this year (5 teams ranked #2 have lost since early October - Southern Cal, Cal, USF, BC and Oregon), I'm not sure Kansas should want to move up to #2 yet. Being ranked #2 going into Mizzou, or even going into the Big XII title game, could be the kiss of death. It might be better to get to 3 and stay there until the conference championship and move up after that game.

To be honest, you either have to know someone who has tickets, or be willing to pay a broker for them.
The three times Auburn has been, I've gone. The first time ('97) I got tickets through a friend I have since lost touch with who is a UK alum. The second time (2000) I got a pair through Empire. In 2004 I was able to get some through a friend of my mother. Unfortunately that connection has dried up as well.

I am sorry but your hearing the wrong things about whats going on down here in SC!!! The only people that want Spurrier gone in SC are Clemson fans. He has all the power he wants. He ask for something and he receives it.
Two of my best friends work in the Athletic Dept and work close with Spurrier, and they GURANTEE he is going nowhere! He said just last night on his radio show, he was disappointed on how the season has turned but he looks forward to the next 3 years here at SC as the Freshman who played alot this year will be Seniors, with alot of experience!
So the Spurrier rumors that he is leaving can stop now. He has said it MANY times that Carolina is his last coaching stop and he will be here for a while!
Well, once againOhio State defeats Michigan. I was sort of cheering for Michigan, but not having a cow because Ohio State won. But what was intresting was that, after the game ended, the cameras were panning the stands and showed a bunch of Michigan fans near the end zone. One young girl, completely decked out in Michigan attire, was crying her eyes out.
No don't get me wrong, I hate it when MY teams lose too, but do people HONESTLY get upset to the point of crying just because their team loses a GAME?
Hell, if you're going to CRY, cry for a good reason-like no beer in the house, or HOOTERS being closed, but don't cry over a silly-a$$ game.

I used to cry when I was a small child when Tennessee lost. I didn't get over that until about age 10. Its called passion....being a true fan. Loving the game so much but being to young to understand its just a game. Have a heart, people!
