Hopefully Missouri will be number one.
If not this week maybe next week if they can avenge their only loss to Oklahoma. Even "if" that happens I'm sure the BSC will find a way to mess it up.

Whew! :o

Well my Vols beat the Wildcats to be crowned the 2007 SEC East Division Champions and secured their place in the dome next Saturday for a chance to win the SEC Championship. It was not pretty and by no means easy, but Tennessee extends the longest winning streak in the nation with 23 straight years over the Cats.

GO VOLS!!!

"THE PERFECT STORM"

For those who HATE the BCS...here it is...

IF Missouri loses to Oklahoma
AND West Virginia loses to Pittsburgh (This season...anything is possible)
THEN it is possible that GEORGIA is ranked #2 in the BCS...

...therefore eligible to play for the Championship,
DESPITE not even being in it's own Conference Championship Game!!!!

That's what I am pullin' for......Ohio State vs. Georgia!!!!

Let's see the BCS defend THAT one....

I noticed that and here's something else I noticed. Tennessee could win the SEC, have beaten Georgia and yet Georgia has a chance at a title and not Tennessee? Ok, for those that have seen me gripe against Tennessee's ranking over Georgia in the past. That has come to a halt, the damn thing is just unfair overall.

Hey Ohio State lost one game with that had a missed call by the officials ( by the way the officials were suspended for the rest of the season ) so it is not hard to defend that one

I just wonder if the human poll voters would allow that to happen. If LSU beats Tenn, but Mizzou and WVU lose, will the voters move LSU up over UGA. If LSU, Mizzou and WVU lose, will enough voters move Kansas (one loss vs two for UGA) back up to get them in?

I think after the OU crap in 2003 that UGA going would be another huge blow to the BCS. I'm just not sure the voters in the polls would allow it to happen. They would defend it by saying UGA wasn't the best 2 loss team in the country, but it could just as easily be a move to help out the BCS.

Plus for the second straight year there would be an undefeated NOT playing in the national championship game. Last year was Boise State and this year it's Hawaii. And even though they aren't in a big conference and don't have the toughest schedule, remember that Boise State (who plays in the same conference as Hawaii) beat Oklahoma last year in the Fiesta Bowl, so it's not a huge disparity between the big conferences and mid-majors.

His temperment is probably better suited to the college game than the pros. Just wondering if he'll be able to recruit. He's a good coach.
