What are the odds...

Lots in the local Myrtle Beach news over the past year or so about the Hard Rock Theme Park. Part of it will be an ampitheater. Wondering if Jimmy might play here. We've got plenty of hotel rooms (depending on the season), Margaritaville, CIP, a bar called 5 O'Clock Somewhere, beach bars, the beach, etc, etc. Seems like a good fit for him. Of course, I had high hopes when the Carolina Ampitheater opened some years back, the owners even mentioned him as the type of show they'd like to have. Then they proceeded to mismanage that place into oblivion, holding less than a dozen shows since opening. Maybe just wistful thinking on my part, but it sure would be nice to stumble into my own bed after a Buffett show instead of returning to a hotel and facing a long trip home.

I know what you mean about the Carolina Crossroads. It had SUCH potential! The biggest name tour I've heard of there this year was that "country legends" tour with Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Ray Price. Ealier this year in concert was RANDY PARTON (Dolly's little brother). He does have some talent, but it's not like I'd make a weekend trip out of going to see him in concert. :-?

Maybe in the couple of years leading up to the Margaritaville Casino we can start a grassroots movement to have Jimmy play the Hard Rock locations. Myrtle Beach, the Velvet Underground room at Hard Rock Atlanta, the Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, etc.

Wishful thinking anyway.
