While I could come up with several really convincing reasons why we needed a new monitor on the home PC....... They are all pretty lame!
It pretty much comes down to ... this new 22" flat screen, wide screen monitor we just unwrapped is so cool

....and those Best Buy Bucks were about to expire..... and I already have a frozen concoction maker.......
Interesting how this computer monitor is bigger than the TV I grew up with!
So I was wonderring.... how big is yours?

I'm using 19" now. I'm happy with that size. Even more important to me now is flat screen. I don't kinow how I ever survived without it.

14" laptop at home and on the road, 17" at work.
I had a 21" monitor in the swamp (but it wasn't enough to make me stay).

My desktop monitor is either a 17or 19 inch normal flatscreen, don't remember the exact size, but it is nearly 3 years old now. Not the best in the world, but I can't complain.
The laptop has the widescreen on it, makes it very cool for watching DVDs but really besides that I haven't see that many advantages to it over a traditional shaped screen - websites and most other computer based apps are built for the standard screen shape so I don't really gain much by having the widescreen.

I just need to get a longer cable, and then I can use my 37" LCD as a computer monitor if I please.
