Help me; I got 4 nights out there.

I know I am going to hit up that little Cantina next to MGM Grand for sure.

Any other recommendations....

I really loved Rum Jungle the last time I was in Vegas. Expensive, but, probably the best meal I've ever had in my life. It's in Mandalay Bay.

There's also this little place in the Flamingo that was pretty cool...Margaritaville I think was called.

Isn't the owner of that restaurant some guy who's trying to make it in rock and roll?

I may be spelling this wrong...

Bastina's Hole in the Wall

It is behind Flamingo and Bill's Gamblin Hall (and side of Bally's). There is a small corner store next to it. This is the street you would take if you were parking your car at Flamingo's.

This place has been here for what seems like a 100 years. A 'ol typical Itailian Restaurant, galic and wine bottles hanging. The menu is in a photo frame stuck to the wall. With your order you get the choice of:

Red or White Wine
Salad
Garlic Bread
Entree
Dessert (I think it is a canolli)
Capicino

price is from $10-18 or so

I had the eggplant, which was really good.

They get you in and out

If you're into Asian fusion food and into people watching, we thought Tao in the Venetian's mall was great. Go on a Thurs or Fri night when the club is open. Not cheap but really fun. Good spot to see a celebrity.

It's Battista's Hole in the Wall. :D We are yet to try it (were going to a few weeks ago when we were there just didn't make it) but I've heard nothing but great things about it.

Also, In N Out Burger is ALWAYS fabulous. :D :D :D

There's a Mexican restaurant on the mezannine level of the Rio that hubby and I enjoy a lot, too. I think we've had the best service ever at that restaurant.

Also, the 3rd floor bar of M'ville is quite a treat as well (although our server last time was kind of a knob). Hubby and I watched the sunset from there and it was lovely. :D

Battistas is a must, great food and atmosphere at very non vegas prices.
If you dont mind spending some money:
1) Delmonico's in the Venetian is awesome. Emeril owns it. great gumbo, steaks and desserts.
2) Mesa grill in Ceasers Palace. Bobby Flay's place. Very good food, has some nice different choices.
3) Kokomo's in the Mirage is good fish place, VERY pricey. Avoid Onda restaurant at Mirage, it is terrible.
4) Wofgang Puck's place at Mandalay is very good.
5) Giardelli's Ice Cream by Harrahs
6) Stage Deli in Caesers forum shops.
Sorry to put so much, but I like Vegas. :D

Has anyone ever been to Simon's at the Hard Rock???
I have heard nothing but good about Kerry Simon, but have never been there..... Just wondering if it was another overpriced place because he was a famous chef.......

Near Hard Rock is that German Place - kaddy-corner, for those of you not from north east, opposite corner from the HRCafe.

Family style seating, really really good German Food, only been open about 3 years.

Bellagio's Sunday Brunch (next to "O" theater) ...Go NO later than 10ish, or you will wait in line. Gtd, not to eat the rest of the day!

Again, pricey... MOST places are in Vegas. ;)

But if you want a fancy night out, this was a good one.

The Hoffbrau Haus prices were not bad....

60% of the places to eat in Vegas are pricey and just as pricey as they would be in LA.

You are on vacation, budget wisely and do what you want!

ie: Olives in Bellagio is awesome, if you have the money (and time)
if you would 'special' night out and not out of pocket, and not a buffet, then I would say go to a restaurant in CAESAR shoppes....though there are still pricey ones there

If you are out for good food and no huge $ worries...then take the list that is before you and eat!

West Coast $ idex is SO much different from East Coast (not inculding DC and NYC)

Just go and have fun!!! That is the most important thing.

Roy's is good. It is a Hawaiian infusion place on East Flamingo about 2.5 blocks east of the strip. I haven't been in the one in Vegas, but the one here in Atlanta is marvelous.
