Hard Rock Park
From Arthur Levine

It's Not Open Yet!:
The Hard Rock Park is scheduled to open in spring 2008.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Starting April 18, 2007, The Hard Rock Park Backstage Tour will offer a preview of the park with interactive exhibits, info about the rides, shows, and park features, and rock memorabilia. Admission is free.

Admission Info:
For now, the park is listing one price, $46, for "children of all ages." Children 3 and under will be free. I'd be surprised if the park didn't introduce discounts for children and seniors, as is typically offered at theme parks. Advance tickets are available at the Hard Rock Park Web site. Currently, there is no info about season passes, but I'd suppose there would be strong visitor interest in them, particularly since the park is planning on staging lots of live concerts.
The park will likely be open about 10 months out of the year.

Hard Rock Park Features:
Rides and attractions, including roller coasters, lots of memorabilia, a concert venue for live performances, restaurants (of course), and retail stores (naturally). The developers are also talking about including a Hard Rock Hotel, slated for a tentative 2009 opening.

Saw the big hill of the Led Zep coaster yesterday from 501, didn't see any completed coasters, but just did a drive by. The Sun News article on Friday, unless I'm mistaken (good chance of that happening) was about the completion of the highest part of the coaster. Would like to drop by the Back Stage Tour visitor center and check it out (free!), but try to avoid 501 as much as possible during the summer months. Can't wait to see who they can get to play the ampitheater. Hoping (foolishly?) for Jimmy. Listed my reasons why it would be a good fit on the Discussion board (see What are the odds...). No matter what, I will be checking this park out once it opens. Heard they are selling season or yearly passes, but don't know if this is true.
