Just got back from my midday walk. Windchill must be 105. Good grief.

Here in central Illinois its about 72 degrees with low humidity, perfect day. My big question is why the hell am I still at work.

The local weather guy cooked an egg on a car roof during the noon broadcast
today and then cut to a camera at the beach, which he described as "a Jimmy
Buffett scene". (Will they have to pay royalties for saying that?) Anyway,
we're getting at least 98-degrees today. We're feelin' hot, Hot, HOT!

Partly cloudy and hot with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Near record temperatures. Highs 94 coast to near 100 inland. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph except 10 to 15 mph near the coast in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Charleston SC. Didn't look it up though. Probably off a few degrees. It is humid though. But I'm realizing it's hotter where some of you are. Like I said about being in Columbia, I was sweatin' like Michael Jackson in a Chucky Cheese.

I have a friend I play golf with. He visisted Houston once and told me people down that way say, "It's hot as Houston," instead of "It's hot as he!!."

I've kinda used that ever since.

the damn rain we have had has kept thing cool

no matter what news stories you hear about drought in Ga.. is not totally accurate

yes the rainfall deficit exists for the lakes

however, the areas like where we live have had rain every other day in July

Raleigh, NC...94 and humid today, upper 80's tomorrow. I love the heat!!! The hotter the better. If it get's below 60, I freeze to death.

Being that I'm a weather weenie myself, when people start comparing weather in different places and not particularly happy with their current weather, I always think of something I think George Carlin said years ago. "If you don't like the weather, Move!"

well up here in missoula its been over 95 every day for the past 2.5 weeks. we had a stretch of 6 straight days over 103....setting records left and right. of course now there are about 5 fires all around...thanks to the dry storms. its brutal. all the rivers are so low, i walked across the river that flows through town yesterday

SPH-i grew up in seattle, bainbridge island actually, talked to some friends and family yesterday, they said it was raining. i would give anything to be back there right now, im going in a week. and i love how people dont want to live there because of the weather, that makes the summers even more beautiful....
