Just listened to every single JB studio album in order

OK...major road trip time... Saw my first Buffett show in Aspen and with the talk about warm places in December, it seems unlikely that he'll be there again this year.
Family is in Indiana, so it was road trip time. 21 hours straight of driving--Colorado to Indiana--listening to every studio album Jimmy has put out.
This confirmed I am:
a) Crazy, looking to go insane
b) Not a fan of "Hot Water" as I almost fell asleep in Omaha
c) You fill in the blank
Peace,
Matt

Nicely done Matt....'cept for the falling asleep part. Though I can't blame you for trying extra hard just to get to Iowa before sleeping. You never know what may happen in Nebraska.
I've had the same, sad thought about this December. But I'm trying to be positive. Think good thoughts with me, please. I'm looking forward to going to Aspen again!!
How did you like listening to them in order? Could you tell the songs that were maybe written for the last album? I don't know of any, but I bet that's happened.

I don't know if that one would be entirely "Hot Water"s fault. I've driven through Nebraska before, not the most exciting drive in the world.

very true about nebraska, i think unless your on meth your gonna get tired driving through that state no matter whats playing. interesting though, was hot water your least favorite? i think id go insane listening to Dont Stop The Carnival all the way through.

I think the combo of 5 minute songs....many of them soft and laid back... and none that I can belt along singing out loud with was a big factor.
I really liked Carnival as I've read the book and remembered the stories. It's one of the few albums that's "all or nothing" (listen to the album all the way through or not at all) for me.
I know it is very over stated, but I really like the early stuff, and the most recent two albums. I'm a big singer-songwriter guy, and the stories are really enjoyable to me.
Hoping for Tin Cup or Tonight I Just Need to end the evening on Tuesday at Deer Creek.
Peace, (and sleep for me now)
Matt
