well....for the first time ever, tailagting is not a big issue with me. sure, i want to get there early and party with everybody, but i'm more about the show this time (i have decent seats). so, i'm not going to stress over things....i just want to get inside the stadium.
Don't ya mean that I have decent seats.. Not quite sure you've earned your ticket yet! hahaha

Think we can find a decent bar to hang out at till like 2 or 3... That's sounding like such a better idea right now! But I'm with ya... Give me like 3 or 4 good hours of tailgating, and I'll make those 3 or 4 hours count!! That's for sure!!!!!

In 2003 Buffett played great Woods while the golf tourney was going right next door. There was zero problems with traffic. It was almost surreal how little traffic was affected.
The difference this time is that Route 1 is part of the equation, a lot of people from the Foxboro/walpole area will want to use route 1 south to get to route 495 south and then from there to the golf course. If Tiger Woods is his usual self and close to the lead then his Sunday tee off will be between 1 and 2 pm.

This means people who are heading to see tiger will end up in the mix on route 1

You guys have got to be messing with us. This is what the Gillete Stadium page says tonight:

http://www.gillettestadium.com/event_ca ... l&eid=2666

Lots are officially to start opening at 3:30 PM. I wouldn't be surprised to see them open earlier if a lot of people show up. Not permitting people to park will not help congestion on Rt. 1 and even bueracrats aren't so stupid to think it will relieve congestion to have tens of thousands of cars, RV's, and busses driving up and down Rt. 1 waiting for the parking lots to open at the stadium.

Since they started working on the "Patriots Place", parking for all events has gone from bad to "What were they thinking?".

I'm paying for expensive tickets and expensive parking to tailgate before the concert and I'm going to show up when I want to and they will open the gates or deal with grid-lock when the tens of thousands of fans like me show up. It's just a matter of fact. I'm not worrying about it and I WILL be partying. Welcome to Margaritaville!

With all the depressing parking news I thought I would spread some sunshine for the out of towners.
Sunday is shaping up to be the best day of the holiday weekend. 80's and sunny! The rest of the weekend is not too shabby either.
And as I grow older, there is so much that I do not know. I'm drawn to those who are bolder and go where no one dares to go...

Great, perfect driving weather while we are doing laps around Foxboro waiting for the lots to open

that place is cool! tons of obscure beers from Great Britain and decent steak tips. The only issue would be that if you are coming from 495 like I assume most people will be it is past the stadium . . . might be a tad busy getting through due to the fact that people will be trying to figure out where to go when they show up and the lots are closed . . .
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

if you get off exit 10, think that's the right number, off rt 95, it is mile or so in, away from the stadium from 495 you go one exit past route 1, take 95 north to exit 10 shouldnt be much traffic that way then you have to drive south on rt1 to the lots, same distance or pretty close to the saem, from 495.
