PRE-Concert Depression!!
Sitting here at work listening to the Buffett Buffet and thinking about the crowd down in Cincy having their own Buffett Buffet as we speak. The grills are fired up with Cheeseburgers & other items a blazin', the gas powered blenders are churning up frozen concoctions by the gallons, mountains of beers have been on ice all morning, the CornHolers are all set up and the Buffett Music Is A Blasting!!
And I'm a mere 300 miles up I-75 but that's as close as I'll get!!

ROADTRIP............... LEAVE NOW!!!!!
Scalp tix in the parking lot and join the party. You'll always regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did.
(And remember, it's important to follow medical adphice.

I don't think this is going to help with Dr. Corona's depression.Mplsfins wrote:Just getting some loose ends tied up then I am leving for Alpine in about an Hour. Got the Buffett cranked at home, beer on ice, and waiting for that 6 hour drive this afternoon. Then it's PARTY TIME!
My suggestion would be to go home, grill outside, put on your grass skirt and pop open a (few) cold one. Then listen to the concert. I know it's not the same....but at least we can hear it and imagine we were there!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

If that doesn't work, put on a old concert t-shirt, pop open some form of summer beer with a lime or a margarita, call a friend who loves Jimmy as much as you do...and turn on the concert!

If I had it all to do over again, I'd just get myself drunk and I'd jump right back in...

Dr. Corona,
I feel your pain. Yesterday on Ticketmaster I pulled up a 9th row single to today's show and thought long and hard about making the 6 hour drive today.
Missing today would have been OK but missing work tomorrow would have been a huge issue. Pleasure just wasn't worth the pain for me, THIS TIME.
There obviously will be more Buffett shows. TM still has tix for TO and Alpine (just singles).
Bummer you couldn't make it. The way I looked at it was that with the current horrible economic state here in Michigan, I am glad I have a job to pay for more fun tickets when the time is right.

I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.

Sorry to say I can't really feel your pain right now. Just got back from Indy yesterday, what a great time. I got the show in Cincy to listen to tonight, and then I head up to Alpine tomorrow for the show on Saturday. I've been waiting for this week all year long and I'm having an unbelieveable time. Next week, however, I'm sure I'll feel your pain, after a couple days that is. Fins Up!

I am missing the Cincy show for the 1st time in many years. I am so depressed that I am just pacing the cage, driving my wife crazy, p*** and moaning about my misfortune. We sat in 4th row Pit seats last year and I had vowed to be in the front row this year. So, to all who are attending tonight, have fun! I will be listening "front row" on Radio Margaritaville and vow to be return in '08! Fins up!

The question is...do I buy tickets for Alpine, have them overnighted, and hop on a plane early Saturday morning because I can't bear to miss it?!?!?Catch&Release wrote:Dr. Corona,

It would be a whirlwind trip, already have friends tailgating, and my husband said he would go!!
